Found this nice K-Line diner at a flea market for $10. It apparently lights up and has smoke, but I don't know (yet) if it works. Even if it doesn't, my plan is to decorate it for Christmas and use it in my Christmas village this year.

Adam, good idea to use the KLine diner for the Christmas display. Use pepermint scented smoke. Alfred

Denny, you can't go wrong with the SF livery. I am a fan of post war Lionel. Alfred
I was curious about ebay prices for the F-3s that Bill and Vince mentioned, and went online to check. There were some pretty outrageous prices listed. None the less, the 2343, 2353, and 2383 are nice engines - w/ dual motors. Alfred

I have been away from the forum for about 10 days and have probably missed hearing what folks bought at York. What was the best item you got? What have I bought recently? - only some screws, electrical switches, wire, and wire connectors. (I have not been at the layout for a while - and I am suffering withdrawl.) Alfred

New to me...a few AA "Safety First" road signs made by Britains back in the day: Found at the local indoor flea market, fifty cents apiece.

Also found this TootsieToy Greyhound SceniCruiser, a reminder of childhood toys lost to my parents' move back in the 1980's: This one's in pretty good shape (although not close to O-scale).

Received these 2 RMT woodside beer reefers from Pats Trains last week. They will force me to pull all of my 36 foot woodside reefers out and assemble a very long unit consist. Bill
