On Thursday, I put an order in for a few post war Lionel items. They are for a secondary control area on the southwest side of my new layout. (The main control area is at the northwest corner of the layout.) They are: 2 No. 90 large orange button controllers – one to manually operate a whistle shack, and the other for manual operation of a gateman; a No. 96C bush button controller to operate a horn; a UCS-40 controller for activating operating cars on a UCS. They will be mounted on a vertical panel just under the overhang. Adjacent to the panel will be an O22 switch controller and a Lionel 1033 transformer. It will be at about 32” so my granddaughter can operate part of the layout. The panel and support is almost complete and will be painted by my wife in time for the arrival of the items next week. Alfred (The whistle, horn and gateman will also be wired to operate automatically bia insulated track section or track pressure controller.)

oace, nice wheel configuration. Alfred Thanks atsda ! Those little 4-4-2 ACE Trains locomotives are a delight to operate : smooth, stable running at any speed, funny colors... Mrs. Tibou agrees also : One of these days, I'll have a green one... OACE

Picked up this American Flyer prewar 550 set recently. Probably 1939 since the engine is spur drive. Like new in the original box. All the cars are diecast.3/16 O gauge

It’s not an official holiday but just about all Americans of Irish descent celebrate it and many of us who aren’t Irish wear green and celebrate with our Irish friends.

On Friday, the package with a variety of post war Lionel controllers came in. Today, I bought a few small items at the local home improvement store. Small wire nuts to make connections at junctions of multiple small gauge wires. 1” x #6 sheet metal screws to mount controllers on the secondary control panel. ½” staples for a staple gun – to use to mount small gauge wires around the inner side of the 2” x 4” layout frame (the 3/8” staples did not leave enough pull-through room. Wire supports with screws to mount electrical cord, and 3 and 4 conductor ribbons. Also, a small outlet strip for the south side of the layout. Alfred

Okay, yes I'm trying to sell some extra inventory, but I just couldn't pass this up. Buy it now $50 + shipping + tax. It came with about 3/4 of the original box in rough condition, and the best part it worked as it did from the factory. ( Maybe a little tight but still) usually these have something wrong with the gearing, it even came original type string and the original hook. Sometimes you just can't pass it up.
Original label even
The middle piece is usually missing.
