I could not pass up the following through a private sale from another LOTS member. (The road names were chosen to purposely span the country.) They came by mail yesterday. They are in incredible condition – all the raised details (e.g., rivets) are very crisp, and they show very little running wear. (My wife says that they look like new out of the box.) Alfred

I have purchased another State of Maine box car, and am waiting on its arrival. Alfred (The images shown in the above thread are in GIF format, and may be low resolution. I did not realize that my phone was default set to this high efficiency format - I have since changed it to JPEG.))

I purchased 55 pieces of track from tinman3rail (including 24 O72 wide radius curves); I am waiting for the package. Also, I confirmed my order for lumber for my new layout. The saw at the store is not working, and I don't expect delivery before next Thursday. I should have the tracks by then and I can lay them out to check the O72 nested loops. Alfred

I got this Atlas reefer at I Love Toy Trains. I had to glue a couple of parts, but it looks great. Now I have three Atlas reefers. Attachments:

Bill, Those one-color door bariations are nice - especially the red ones they can be costly; the second one that I have coming in the mail has the conventional panel door. Alfred

If you want to have a solid string of the same car Atlas did turn out a few of their series of reefers with 4 and even 8 separate road numbers. You can check them out at the following website: toytrains1.com/atlas_reefers.htm

I picked up this Flyer 3015 a couple weeks back: Unfortunately it took a whack during the shipment/packing process (I'm inclined to think the packing process), which bent the frame pretty badly (on the opposite side in the photograph). I was going to send it back, but it runs really well, so I made the decision to hang onto it and hope I can bend the frame back into shape. I need another project like I need a hole in the head, but this deserves a revisit.

healey36, good decision (even if it was a tough one) to keep the unit since it runs well and that you will straighten the frame. Do you sense the breeze running through your head? Alfred
