Not in Adam's DNA. He will find a way. Correct. It will be done one way or another. It wont be perfect but that's not necessarily the goal. It's really this is more of a class for me. I learned a lot about this sort of project which i will carry forward.

Please ignore the sloppy sample paint job. I clearly am still off on the color. I may indeed need to seek assistance from the professional. Though I can probably get away with the option on the far right which combines the other 2 colors, lighter red first with a coat of maroon on top. Hmm, need to sleep on this one. Cant paint anyway as it is too humid.

Too far off, Adam. Get it right and you won't regret it.

None of them look right. It might be time for professional help, Adam.

I would just work with the two darker colors. The bright red is too vivid.

While I sort out the painting I thought I would test for the number plate and horn as well as see what she looks like on the chassis. The horn is a bit too high so will need to shave the base down a bit. Otherwise looks good to me!

Right, just do it to your satisfaction. Every project is a learning experience. It will turn out fine, no matter what!

Adam, the horn and number board look great but I see what you mean about the horn being too high.
Good luck with the painting. If the colors are close it would look good to my eyes but you have to be happy with it.

After reassessing my goals for the project, one of which is spend as little $ as possible, I’ve decided to move forward with painting using what I have. I will do two light coats of the medium red color and finish with maroon. This will get me close enough to be happy with it. So, after taping off the parts that I will do in black using brush and some testors, first coat is down. As one of my uncles used to say, close your eyes and go!
