MAYBE the T&P offerings. We'll see I really like the GP7's … were they yellow like the catalog or orange like the American Flyer locomotives I have on the shelf? Yellow as far as I can tell. I wish they had gone with the Blue/white scheme

I'm also thinking about a PRR Super Bass E7B unit to add to my Lionel PRR ABA E7 set from 2008. I'm not sure if the ABA set had a tether between the units or not, so the Super Bass B unit may not work anyway. I'll have to locate them in the garage and take a look. Brian, while I don’t have those ABA engines I am sure that they did NOT have a tether. In fact I don’t think any Legacy diesel sets from that time had tethers as opposed to being able to be lashed up via the Legacy remote. With AA sets they generally ran as one right out of the box but to add a powered B unit it had to be lashed up. I have a roughly contemporary ALCO PA ABA set with a powered B unit that runs just fine that way. The limitation with mine is that the second A unit has no sound as well as being unpowered but does have smoke, lights and an electrocoupler; the powered B unit has no sound but does have smoke and electrocouplers. Lionel wasn’t consistent about smoke units, however, and the catalog description of the PRR E7 B unit from 2007-8 doesn’t mention it having smoke. That might have been a glitch, however. .... I'm also thinking about a PRR Super Bass E7B unit to add to my Lionel PRR ABA E7 set from 2008. I'm not sure if the ABA set had a tether between the units or not, so the Super Bass B unit may not work anyway. I'll have to locate them in the garage and take a look. .... Brian, I have the original Lionel Century Club II Pennsy shark nose set with B-unit, and there are no tethers. There are different ways to configure the newer Super Bass B-units... I have a ridiculous Great Northern ABBBBA set for my Empire Builder passenger train with multiple SuperBass B-units. You can program them all to the same engine ID, and the horn effect is AMAZING.
Thank you, Gentlemen for your replies. It seems the SuperBass E7B will work with my earlier issue ABA E7 set. But there's one problem. My PRR E7 set is in DLGE paint, and the new E7B is in PRR Tuscan paint! Would they look silly, or non-prototypical together? I'm thinking anything was possible in the real railroading world, and the Super Bass unit would sound so good! I don't know.

Well just did a pre order from NASSAU Hobby. They had the best prices that I could find. I did pre order R&N ten wheeler along with the US ARMY Sharks. I am hoping the colors are right.

Charlie Nassau is a very reputable dealer, and his published prices are usually pretty good. But he does require a non-refundable 10% deposit. And he charges a 15% restocking fee for returns, plus shipping costs too.
If you're OK with those terms, then go for it. Charlie Nassau won't leave you hanging. And he tends to have GREAT sales throughout the year -- sometimes offering even better prices than the original pre-order prices! I've been known to take advantage of those more than I'd like to admit. But you also run the risk of not having all the roadnames available during those sales vs. pre-ordering at catalog time.

Well, I had to look up "DLGE" to be sure of what I was thinking; I have PRR Tuscan on a GG1.
As they are both authentic colors (or - even in Lionel's hands - are meant to be), I'd go for it whether the combo is prototypical or not. But to be honest I doubt that I could sell that idea on myself; my nearest equivalent is a Williams E7 B unit with 3rd Rail E7 A-A set and I have conditioned myself to ignore the dimensional differences, whereas the color match is perfect.
In your case, Brian, you can always think in black and white instead of color! The SuperBass sound will probably drown out all thought anyway.

"DLGE" = Diesel Locomotive Green Enamel. AKA, "Brunswick Green" on PRR.

Thanks Brian. I had no idea what DLGE meant.

Joe, that baffled me for a while. I kept seeing it so often that I had to ask a knowledgeable PRR friend of mine what it was! It's just easier typing the acronym. :-)

It's just easier typing the acronym. :-) "Brunswick" Green is instantly recognizable to me - not because of the color, much as I like it, but because I grew up in a neighborhood of that name.
I'm so mired in nostalgia that I will continue to use that name rather than the hyper-modern (if authentic) "DLGE."
P.S. I have only one loco that color, an HO GG1 that I have kept for sentimental reasons.
