rtraincollector, until I recently got my first two pre-war cars, I had never seen the hook and tab type couplers - very interesting. Alfred

Alfred in prewar Lionel actually had 3 different types of couplers. what I call hook and tab, not sure if it is correct name Latch coupler And then box coupler only on O gauge, the previous 2 were on both O and standard gauge.

Just 14 grey "A" size trestle piers. I decided to completely elevate the O27 track oval on the 4' x 4' platform that I am using as a play surface for my granddaughter. In this way, I can run HO underneath, and there will be more area for her Brio trains. Alfred

I've been busy this past week, a prewar Standard gauge 0-4-0 electric style engine #53, 16 ballast dump car, (coming in tomorrow 3/23/2024) & a 385W tender to go with my gray 385E as it came with a 384T tender. Pictures will follow in a few days.

I picked up a new set today. Was not on my list but when I saw it I really wanted it. New old stock. MTH 4-6-4 Hudson Chesapeake and Ohio with 4 cars.
Sorry no pics at this time because they appear to be too big in size to upload. When I try they show up upside down. Always happens to me for some reason. Very annoying.

Picked up these restored Lionel Postwar small passenger cars at a train show a couple weeks ago. The gentleman that restores tinplate is a perfectionist and the quality of his work shows it. Bill

Very annoying. settings on your camera. smaller jpeg is what you need, there is a setting on most cameras to change the size . . . or, you can import the existing pics into MS Paint, resize them and save as copies. Easy-peasy . . . Or, just upload the pics to a sharing site like Shutterfly. com, then paste the pics' address into the post at full size.
