I’ve got two Boston & Maine trains on the tracks this evening. A freight consist pulled by the SW9 is on the inner loop and a vintage passenger train is on an excursion on the outer loop pulled by the GP40. We can’t embed shorts here so click the link to see it. youtube.com/shorts/avghrf0r9ao?feature=shared

I'm selling the 2 diesels in this video to purchase a couple of SD40T-2 with Legacy.
In the meantime, I'm running these 2 SD-70's in their place.

What’s on the tracks? Absolutely nothing. I have been undertaking a massive attic purge, clean, and re-organization. I put all of the rolling stock neatly wrapped and away in the storage boxes under the layout. I removed all of the consists that were on various spurs and sidings that had been waiting for engines. I also removed some construction vehicles. Periodically, I use a small vacuum with a bristle brush to clean the surface and tracks (with an occasional wipe down with a spray cleaner). I do exercise the accessories and switches. I have a Scout engine with tender and one car to run around for fun. I’ll be back running shortly. In the meantime, I am still looking for the Bascule Bridge that I packed in Tampa for the move to Baltimore (about 30-years ago). Alfred

Got my new Lionel Pennsylvania L1 this morning. It is an awesome runner. The only issue I have is the whistle steam smoke effect. It's almost nonexistent. Smoke does come out, but it can barely be seen. I don't run with smoke on very often, so I'll let it slide.

Scott, great sound effects. Perhaps harborbelt70 has advice about the smoke issue. Alfred

What’s on the tracks? The tracks on the layout in the attic are still vacant. However, since my granddaughter (now a toddler), is coming over this afternoon, I’ve got a large oval of Brio track set up on the floor in the living room. It has a tunnel, viaduct, and a wooden tree forest. We are going to run a 3-car freight consist – a box car, flat car, a gondola (occupied by a chicken), and a caboose – headed by a 2-2 steam engine. Toot-toot. Alfred

A few days ago, I was able to get up to the train attic. I ran my Lionel 2-8-4 Berkshire with tender (736, 1953) and a 3-car consist(Lionel, ca. 1953-55) - Silver Series passenger, dome , and observation (2533 Silver Cloud, 2532 Silver Range dome, 2531 Silver Dawn observation). Maybe video soon. Alfred
