There was a thread like this before but I can’t find it, so let’s start a new one. Rules are simple, share a photo and/or description of what you have on the tracks right now. I've got freight running this evening. Someone has to help alleviate the supply chain issues! Upper Level: Williams Canadian National 44-Toner switching some freight.  On tracks tonight are the Williams F7's in the Southern Pacific daylight scheme pulling 50' flats and two 20' trailers and the Williams GG1 pulling freight and some tank cars.

It's all contemporary action on the A&JB.
An "Amtrak Salutes our Veterans" Genesis and Amfleet cars are running on the upper level.
On the lower level an SD-70 New York Central heritage engine is pulling a mixed modern freight and an FEC GP-38 is pulling an intermodal train.

Track conditions and forecast: continued light rust until I can resolve some nagging track issues and run complete consists. I have been running an S2 Turbine with tender and flatcar to assess track conditions. After identifying and repairing a UCS issue in the sub-loop of West Loop B, I ran into stalling near Switch 6 on the Northside. I have not fixed that yet. Now, being frustrated, I got out my 218 FA set with non-powered unit dressed in its red and silver Santa Fe livery. Does it run flawlessly? No, of course not. The power unit kept derailing going East in the turnout in Switch 3 (west side of Westside Loop B) – AND the E-Unit kept getting stuck in neutral. After many adjustments, the E-Unit began to behave. With the B unit in the lead, and now running eastwards. All is OK. Even though it is not my custom to run freight consists with the red and silver Santa Fe livery, I may have to do that just to get a decent consist running. (By the way, the 218 set was a Christmas gift in the 60’s from my parents.) Alfred

Right now the only thing occupying the tracks is the cat. I decided to switch gears and work on adding the facia to surround the layout to keep the cats away from the wiring. Cats and wiring don’t mix.
I couldn’t cut lumber outside today because of Tropical Storm Kate dumping rain on us. When I got to that point I shut it down and went to the ballgame.
Tomorrow is another day!
