You have a really nice layout, Scott, and you’re running some neat trains. 👍 Thanks! Like many layouts it's always a work in progress.

For once I have something to post in this thread as there's a temporary track circuit down on the floor. The car shown is a Legacy StationSounds diner, this one being an 18" SP heavyweight car. I have no idea how accurate it is (other than in the scale length) but it sure is fun with the train-specific announcements. Well, they are for the "San Joaquin Daylight" and as a dedicated EsPee passenger car fan I think that this name was only applied after the train was run with streamlined, not heavyweight, cars. Pardon me if this is wrong; I won't be able to check until the weekend.
But does that detail matter? Not to me. StationSounds cars are one of Lionel's best innovations, which I do not think has been equalled in any other scale. However, I'll have more to say about Lionel innovations, and how reliable or not they are, in another thread. Watch this space.
P.S. The un-illuminated space on the left of this car is where the Pullman diner kitchen was and is where Lionel put the sound system and control board, blanked off from view through the car windows.

Andy, Very nice. I enjoyed reading the description and your comments. Alfred If you get a chance, it would be interesting to hear it running, and also the sound effects in a video.

There was a thread like this before but I can’t find it, so let’s start a new one. Rules are simple, share a photo and/or description of what you have on the tracks right now. I've got freight running this evening. Someone has to help alleviate the supply chain issues! Upper Level: Williams Canadian National 44-Toner switching some freight. Lower Level Inner Loop: MTH B&M SW9 freight Lower Lever Outer Loop: MTH NYC RS3 Army freight Classic NY and Boston rivalry happening here!! Here is an engine I haven't run in quite a while. Its little but it's a strong puller.

Conventional only. There’s no controlling what that cat does. The layout has become her personal hideout and playground!

This evening, I ran my trains for my son’s in-laws, who were visiting from out of state. We had them over for dinner, and they asked to see my trains run. Our son’s sister-in-law was fascinated by trains as a child. I ran my Lionel GE 44-ton center cab switcher (LV, #627) with a box car consist. It ran slowly b/c it was hot in the attic and the house power may have been lower than usual b/c of hot weather demand. None the less, they enjoyed hearing and seeing the trains running (including my S2 Turbine) and accessories working, and my explanation of the equipment, and show-and-tell. They live near a mall which has a Lionel store; which they are now going to visit. I also sent them links to some of my train videos (which I have previously posted on the OGF). Alfred
