Got to keep the yellow color, Walter. I'm deciding between a Pullman Green or Pennsy Red. Checking pics from late 1800s and early 1900s. I like the yellow, but see to many yellows and reddish on layouts. LOL, I'm different (wife uses the term, weird).

As all passenger cars get a change over to LED lighting, I removed the bulbs from holders and added 2 LEDs, AC/DC 12 to 19V which I get a large quantity and keep in stock from the E Bay. Shipped free from China only takes about 3 weeks each time. I attach them to holder with just a drop of hot glue. I get the soft yellow glows for older passenger cars. If still to bright, I just put a piece of masking tape over to get the dim yellow glow of kerosene lights.

I haven't been able to get any work done the last couple days. Andy I was able to snap a quick pic of what I've been working on.

Completed transferring the last of 17 level 1 main line turnouts to DCS. All work as planned. Next need to label the remainder of the wires, complete the computer diagram, and load the remote with complete descriptions. Then we tackle routes. Tortoise switch machines are a wonderful learning experience in A Beginner’s Guide to Relays. The only thing missing is the textbook. Sorry for the cut off photos. Tired of riding my stool under the layout today and that is needed to get far enough away for a complete photo. How do turn the photos right side up? This is harder than the relays. Attachments:

In between repainting and lettering, I been re-wiring my layout also. Didn't realize what a maze it was, (I did know were everything was and what for). Just need to have a neat look under there.

Thanks. I will try it out on the pictures that were incorrect. Okay, I went to the originals on the I-pad and they are fine... right side up exactly as taken. I found some others that were wrong on the I-pad that my daughter sent to us and they corrected fine. So how do I correct what is correct on my I-pad? Thanks. Emile will know. He is an expert at this kinda stuff.

I'm thinking it has something to do with the size ... as in megapixels.

Not only a busy day today but a lot of progress was made.
After the Thanksgiving crowds left, five switch lanterns were not lit. Little people playing under the layout don’t go well with wiring. Eventually a curtain will close off the space but we are not close to being ready for that. Got all of them working pretty quickly, some a bit more child proofed. (Everything is low voltage).
Passenger yard turnouts had not been wired for use with Touch Toggles. They were wired this afternoon and work fine. Switch lanterns were readjusted. The yard is ready for hard use; adjustments are guaranteed to be needed.
The grandsons each have passenger trains that are now on shelves. They said Thanksgiving that they want their trains down for the Christmas season. The yard is ready to receive the gold Polar Express that is Austin’s and also Logan’s Pocahontas. They change the theme of what has been a freight railroad.
Touch Toggles are powered by a wall wart. We had not wired them directly but were using an extension cord. They have now been wired, labeled, and a terminal block is in place for existing and future installations. For those who don’t know, Touch Toggles are a system that Berrett Hill designed to control turnouts.
Other labeling was completed. Most of the stuff on the electrical board has been labeled. This is an improvement. Next we need to check out the suggestions that Wood and Andy gave us on getting the circuit descriptions into the computer. Maybe then I will use the correct terminology.
Tomorrow is a fishing day. Speckled trout have kept us busy for six weeks but it is about over as the water temp is hovering around 50 degrees. Snowmelt from the Great Blizzard of ‘19 will undoubtedly cool our waters dramatically in the next few days. It sounds as if the Northeast is reeling under almost
What has everyone else gotten done?

You can either manually resize the picture or use a third party hosting site. There are many out there, I started using Imgur. Andy

Bill,
That is impressive! I installed touch toggles a year or two ago, but I couldn’t get one or two switches to work reliably. I worked on a solution with Kevin (the owner) but it didn’t pan out. They are really neat though. I went back to plain old rocker switches to throw the turnouts.

Nice job on the wiring Bill. It appears to me that MTH DCS operators have good wiring skills. The nice part about Legacy is one wire does it all. I have been running trains and trying to develop my video skills. Once the Englewood Station was finished I haven't started a new scene. I have two left and will start on my oil storage/propane scene soon.
