There's a guy on the other forum. Been involved in Steam excursions for a good chunk of his life. Some of you may know who I speak of. Now he comes across on the forums as one of the biggest !@# on the planet but that couldn't be further than the truth. His forum etiquette is just off and he means no harm by what he states. Said person just comes off rude.
That's why you just have to let it roll off your skin. It's just trains, things written may have different meanings to different people.

LOL. No it wasn't me but honestly let me get this straight:
A person got into a verbal argument here (possibly over politics)? He really stirred up a bees nest, made some people angry, and then caught some flak from it then decided to leave?
Have we really become that soft skinned? Why not just apologize and move on?

Nobody likes him but the Forum administrators there. I am sure he is a perfect gentleman in person but the way he publicly cuts you down and then a few key forum sponsors echo his reply really turns you off from posting anything there. The manner of which "you been told" makes you feel you are outside the circle of the brotherhood and there you shall remain.

Sometimes I laugh, sometimes I just shake my head, but never do I feel any angst over what is written on the internet. Besides, it’s very difficult to insult me because I’m comfortable in my own skin and I’ll even play along. I don’t suffer fools or give any credence to nasty people. I’m here for the enjoyment of talking trains and the fun of the conversation. Anything else is just noise.
Only way I’d leave a train forum is when I’m six feet under where the internet connection could be spotty.

Also, Body languge, Tone and a whole host of other things can't be seen while posting a these types of sites. We only have what we type. People need to keep an open mind and take things with a grain of salt. I've been flamed on other sites, it hurt, as my intention was taken the wrong way, but I got over it and moved on. But, I've also learned over the years some people are just plain cruel, and no matter who or what is saying it or what is said. We all need to have thicker skin these days.
