I’m fortunate that there is nothing there to tempt me because, according to BLI’s updated delivery schedule, the FEC blue and yellow SD70s are due in later this month and the FEC ES44s in the Champion scheme are due in next month. That’s a big enough hit on my train budget. Right now I’m strictly FEC and loving it. 😃

I haven’t made any progress on my layout because I’m working on my T-Trak modules. We have a train show September 7th and I’m trying to get as many of my 5 modules scenicked as possible. I finished this double straight and started on a corner module. Loojing good Joe.

The modules really look good Joe. Some year ago I belonged to a O gauge modular group and really enjoyed. I miss doing it, I just can't do it anymore because of arthritis and leg issues.
Please post some Pictures of your modular N scale layout if you can.

One of the great things about T-Trak is that the modules are fairly small and lightweight. They are easy to store and transport as are the trains. We have a 4x8 traveling O gauge layout that is more difficult to transport and set up, but it’s fun and worth the effort as long as we can do it.

I finished this double straight and started on a corner module. I didn’t get an idea of the small scale of this until I spotted the ruled pad underneath it and the glue bottles on the side! That is intricate work and it makes me think again about a small scale setup. Years ago I saw HO scale modules - basically a switch siding - at a British train show and was impressed at the realism. As I think increasingly of tabletop modeling as an alternative to a carpet circuit this is pretty inspiring. Great work, Joe.

The small size makes them easy to transport and store.
I considered doing a O gauge carpet central in the room but at 74 getting up off the floor isn’t as easy as it used to be, plus I’m having more fun building scenes and detailing them than I would have just running bigger trains on the floor.
If you decide to do an HO or N scale in addition to your O gauge let us know.

If you decide to do an HO or N scale in addition to your O gauge let us know. Well, I think I have already decided on that, but it's really nothing new bearing in mind what I already have. If you all don't mind seeing my dining room table an example will appear later this month. Meanwhile, I continue to work on a largely scratch built 3rail O scale monster.

The Broadway Limited Imports FEC SD70s arrived so I visited my local train store yesterday and took 2 home with me.
I’ve used a number of houses on my T-Trak modules so I picked up one more along with these people.
The locomotives run and sound great.
I’m almost finished with a corner module. I’ll post pictures when it’s completed.
