From the Virtual Railfan cameras in three halls this show reminded me of the Great Scale Show that they have here in Timonium Md (next weekend BTW) on steroids. Good for the model railroad hobby to see so many people enjoying themselves regardless of their scale of choice.

Hello all, Great show!!! First time i have been and dont think ill ever miss it again!! I had to stay the night. Got up there late morning on Saturday. Didn't have enough time to finish the show. I also bought some stuff from Grzyboski's as well. Picked up MTH single track bridge in black. Also bought the Lionel graffiti set. My wife talked me into it. LOL. I need to get the add on cars now. I also found an old Lionel Coast Guard set. Diesel engine with 5 cars. Nothing great about it, but me being an ex coastie i thought it was cool. Gave the guy an offer Saturday but he said no. Before i left to go home i stopped by and he took my offer i gave the day before. Took it to the test track and it works.
The next show in the NY/NJ area i believe, is in Edison NJ in March. Anyone has Tik Tock please follow DC_trainguy

I think last year was the first time they did that.

…The next show in the NY/NJ area i believe, is in Edison NJ in March. … Don't forget the Allentown ATMA show on Feb 24/25. Well worth the time for anyone within a 1-2 hour radius of Allentown, PA. You will not be disappointed.

I got so sick my club members left without me. I had to stay home and watch it on my phone. I also missed going to the Red Rose afterwards for a nice meal.

Chuck, Thanks for the reminder about the show in Timonium. I am only about 30 minutes from there; however, I probably won't go - no money / time. None the less, is there any notable venders that specialize in post war Lionel? Alfred (The last time I was at a show, was decades ago - a Greenberg event.))

Details to come in a year

None the less, is there any notable venders that specialize in post war Lionel? Alfred (The last time I was at a show, was decades ago - a Greenberg event.)) Notable vendors specializing in post war Lionel? Not to my eye or way of thinking while I readily admit to not being any expert on the subject of pre war. It is more of a smattering is my recollection. That impression actually extends to the majority of the vendors selling O/O27/O Scale; a little of this and that. The only concentration of eras seems to be modern for those vendors selling Lionel/MTH/Weaver/K Line etc. As I reflect upon the admittedly limited Bg E video feeds from 3 halls the Great Scale Show really is Big E in miniature with some railroadiana thrown in for good measure. The show is in one large hall divided into threes. The North Hall is primarily O/O27/some O Scale with layouts displayed. The middle hall is mostly HO/N/Z, and concessions. The South Hall is sort of a mash up of scales, railroadiana, parts, scenery, clothing and all nature of printed magazines, books, schedules etc. The show is briskly attended but not crushing. Unfortunately the parking is a bit removed from the hall unless you get there early. This show is held at the Fairgrounds in Timonium so there may be several shows going on at one time. Be prepared for a brisk walk to the Train Show should the parking lot be full.

You will not be disappointed. Agreed on the Allentown ATMA Meet. Its a really crowded event that appeals to a wide variety of O gauge collectors. Its a bit over an hour drive from my home. I won't miss this one with a second stop after the show to the large farmers market across the way. The fairgrounds attracts thousands of people and its quite an exciting and crowded event. I encourage all my O gauge friends to attend.
