Enjoy! I can't make it today but may go tomorrow. The weather is iffy, so my attendance is iffy as of now. If I don't make it I will go to their large-scale show that they started last year. They are doing it again in April. www.nelsts.org/

It’s crowded as always like I remember York back in 1990s. Lots of cars from New York, New Jersey, Ontario and Quebec in addition to New England states.
I’ve got my shopping bag going in!

It’s 9:06 and people are already walking out of the Better Living Center with boxes of trains after opening at 9:00. Get em while they are hot!

Ryan from Lionel said that the Lionel Lines SD70aces that are available from METCA will be on the water in a few days and should be out in March

Disappointed that I can’t find MTH… they are supposed to be here. I did visit with Lionel and Atlas.

Disappointed that I can’t find MTH… they are supposed to be here. I did visit with Lionel and Atlas. If you pass by Lionel's booth again, could you please ask Ryan if the radioactive canisters inside the gondola in the Atomic Energy Commission Legacy Set will blink on/off alternately. It's hard to tell from the catalog illustration if the canisters light up, and the catalog description just indicates "gondola w/canisters". That's a cool set along with the SuperBass add-on locomotive. Might be one of the few items I pre-order.

The good news is that the set has a lot of buzz and it is expected to sell well. However, the canisters are glow in the dark only because, according to Lionel, the light would just glow through the walls of the canisters. I have the set on order and I think the other features sound really cool! However, it would not have bothered me if the light bled through the walls of the canisters.

Thank you very much for inquiring for me. I had a feeling the canisters might not blink, because the catalog would have highlighted an "operational gondola w/illuminated canisters". Would have been nice feature to turn on/off -- especially when operating the set in daylight, where the glow-in-the-dark effect isn't gonna be noticeable. The old post-war radioactive waste cars had illuminated canisters, and that's what made me think about this for a car in the AEC Legacy set. But this is not a deal-breaker. The set will still be very popular.
