I sent this video to a friend and he said after watching it twice he saw something different and after asking, I told him I was surprised he caught it. Can you? Also, this is the first train and first time running a train completely on my new layout. I chose the SF as a tribute to Brian as my inaugural run.

Fun video, but I think I am going to need a hint or some coffee to catch the "something different".

Btw is that F3 from around 2004 #16. If so I have the same one ABBA with the extra powered B.

Second from last car has doors on the wrong side? Your getting close observing the cars.

First two cars have smaller windows than the last two.

I was going to say that those are some nice shiny cars - I am looking at my own Super Chief set at the moment but it's Lionel, and 15" cars, whereas I think the ones in the video must be MTH and nearer scale at 18". Is this a Lionel A-B-A set led by a powered #19 but pulling MTH cars? Note that Lionel never went in for plated Santa Fe F3's and the ones in the video are painted instead, or so it appears.

Yes, all 3 engines are Lionel, and painted. The cars are the extruded metal K Line cars which are highly desired rather then the now plastic cars.

First two cars have smaller windows than the last two. Your getting real close in narrowing down to 2 cars.

Second and third cars appear to be identical (including interior fittings visible through the windows) except that the vestibule doors are at opposite ends - which I believe is prototypical.

Okay! I'll confess. The 2nd car is 18" K Line and the 3rd car is the harder to find 16" K Line car. Its really hard even when running them to tell the size difference in these excellent produced metal K Line cars. Sometimes I only see this difference on curves.

I can see that difference now. Man, I was scratching my head on this mystery!
