Join us for the 4th Annual O GAUGE FORUM ZOOM CHRISTMAS PARTY, hosted by The CrabCakes: Emile and Jennifer! Mark your calendars for this Saturday, December 16, 2023, at 7:00 PM (Eastern Time), with an expected duration of approximately 1 hour.
Attendance is free, and we encourage everyone to join, including spouses. The festivities will kick off with a brief introduction, followed by an opportunity for each participant to share a cherished Christmas wish or memory. The highlight of the evening will be the "Greedy Christmas" gift exchange, where the Forum will provide gifts under the virtual tree, ensuring that everyone who participates receives a special surprise.
Prepare for an evening filled with joy and laughter. If this is your first time using Zoom, our Resident Zoom Expert, Adam, is available to guide you through the setup process—simply send him a private message. You'll find that navigating the Zoom meeting is easy and user-friendly.
Look out for more details to be posted in early December. Save the date and get ready for a memorable and festive virtual celebration!

Dang!!! Yet another schedule collision!!! I've unfortunately missed ALL of these forum parties thus far, because my wife's cousin insists on hosting a Christmas Party on that Saturday in December every year. I would MUCH rather enjoy a cozy December Saturday night at home while attending THIS forum's zoom party. Sigh....
Have fun everyone... And an early Merry Christmas to all!!!

Emil, and All, I am looking forward to the OGF Christmas get together. I had an enjoyable time last year meeting everyone, and hope others will attend. Alfred

So . . . pardon a relative newbie question, but exactly what kind of event is on offer? I must admit to being a bit Zoom-phobic after the traumatic experience of the last several years, but putting that aside, I'm still drawing a blank trying to imagine what a bunch of, err, demographically advanced toy train buffs would do on camera!

I must admit to being a bit Zoom-phobic after the traumatic experience of the last several years, but putting that aside, I'm still drawing a blank trying to imagine what a bunch of, err, demographically advanced toy train buffs would do on camera! We exchange welcomes and Christmas wishes and then play a game of Greedy Christmas. Each Member chooses a gift from the Forum Gift Table that appears on the screen (LIVE from Glen Burnie, Maryland). I open the gift on camera for the Member and mail them their gift right after. The kicker is that each Member may pick from the table OR steal a gift from another Member. If your gift gets stolen, then you get to pick again (or steal someone else's gift). Jennifer and I moderate the party and it usually runs very smooth for about 1 hour. It's nice to put a face and voice to a name and to wish each other a Merry Christmas (almost in-person). It's fun. I hope you join us!

It is also a Blast with great fellowship albeit via Zoom and some comic relief thrown in. Emile and Jen do a fantastic job. My first time I was hesitant but everyone mad me feel right at home and my wife and I had a great time. Almost forgot the gifts are nice too but I really enjoy meeting people and the fellowship more!

I won't be able to make it, as I'm going to be in Fort Mill the 16th being part of a train show, by time I get packed up, drive home and unpack I probably will be wiped out. If your on when I get done I will try.

I was really hoping to show my face this year but I just found out the wife is having the neighbors over that night. Sorry I won't be able to see everyone.

I was really hoping to show my face this year but I just found out the wife is having the neighbors over that night. Sorry I won't be able to see everyone. Have the neighbors join our party! As much as the wife enjoys trains and my hobby I don't think she would approve of the idea. She has plans in place and I don't want to be the one to try and change them. But thank you for offering that option.
