HAPPY THANKSGIVING EVERYBODY!As the season of gratitude unfolds, I find myself reflecting on the blessings that fill my life. This Thanksgiving, I want to take a moment to express my heartfelt thanks for the following:
1. Family: I am grateful for the warmth and love that surround me every day. Their support and presence in my life make each moment special.
2. Friendship: To have friends like those here on the O-Gauge Forum is a treasure beyond measure. The fellowship we share brings joy and happiness, making life's journey all the more delightful.
3. Health: I am thankful for the gift of health, allowing me to embrace each day with energy and enthusiasm. May we continue to cherish and nurture this invaluable blessing.
What are you most thankful for?

Family, all of my closest family members are either around the corner (brother-in-law and his wife) or about a 1/2 hour away (daughter and her family). And all of that was by design. Brother-in-law and sister-in-law moved over from Maryland. Wife and I and our daughter, son-in-law, and grandsons moved down from NH. All of this happened in 2016. It was quite an undertaking, but we're now enjoying every minute.

I agree with Emile on all points but will add a few comments. I am thankful for many things, for the love of family, to be surrounded by good neighbors, friends (OGF included) and to be in fairly good heath that enables Paula and myself to travel West every year. Must thank the good Lord for the prosperity of my family and myself. In my case it has has allowed me to build the train layout of my dreams, have a collection of classic cars, firearms and other nice things. Richness has found me in so many ways, but I am most rich in the family that I have. They are all kind, generous, loving and successful. Have a very Happy Thanksgiving week everyone.

I'm thankful for my wife who has been a rock through all my medical issues. I'm thankful for a decent house to live in that we own free and clear in a nice quiet town.
I'm thankful for a decent size basement where I can run trains, play music and talk on my ham radio.
I'm thankful for the friends I have made through trains and music.
I am really thankful my son pulled his head out of his *** got married to a good woman, moved out and has become a great stepdad and a good husband and they own their own house. Mary and I are going there for Thanksgiving.

You got nothin' without your health...the family a close second. I know this has been a tough year for many, but still quite a bit to be thankful for. Hopefully next year will be a bit easier.
Oh, and thanks for the warm welcome here...hopefully I don't wear it out, lol.

I'm thankful for many things in my life, the people I've met, the friends I have made. The opportunities that were given to me, from working as an actor in TV, movies, and live shows. Flying vintage war planes all over the U.S. so Veterans and their families can see and feel the hardships they endured. I am eternally thankful for my wife who understood and stood besides me during those long days, weeks, and months while I chased my dreams. I'm thankful always to my parents who taught us children to be grateful and humble, and always stay as a family through the good times and bad times. This month is also a hard month. It was in 2008 we lost mom and 2 years later dad went join her. Then I wake up this week to the sad news we lost Brian. But I am also grateful and thankful that they were and will always be a part of my memories, now and forever.
I will always be thankful for all the memories I have.

I am thankful for so many things. I look around me and all the people in the world and feel fortunate with the life god has allowed me to live. I am looking forward to spending time with family this Thanksgiving and creating some wonderful memories. Thanksgiving was my mothers favorite holiday. She made it so very special for the family and in her honor I hope to do the same for my family. I think Thanksgiving is my favorite holiday also. Hope everyone here also has a wonderful Thanksgiving.....

The holidays from Thanksgiving thru the 12 days of Christmas and the beginning of the New Year is my favorite time. The time spent with family and friends is the best. Even though I'm older now and my immediate family has past away I still enjoy the holiday with friends, the people on the OGF and beyond.
To everyone here on the OGF have a great Thanksgiving and cherish the time you have with family and friends, as we Have learned from the sad news this past week of the passing of Brian, life is short and we should enjoy it to the fullest.
May God bless all of us!!
Dave

I also really like those Thanksgiving trains in the picture. I would love to do a Thanksgiving layout. The problem is time! It's right between Halloween and Christmas. But it's possible. Maybe next year.

Maybe next year. A Thanksgiving layout is something I've considered every year for a long time. It's just so difficult to get it done without short-changing either Halloween or Christmas. One of these days I'm going to make it happen.
