on Tuesday evening on my way from work to a viewing, my Uber driver got into an accident while making a left into the funeral home. My shoulder was injured. I have gone to a doctor, and am waiting for a complete diagnosis and treatment plan. In the meantime, my right arm is nearly useless. If I were able to make it under the layout extension in the attic to get to the control area, I would have to operate the trains one-handed. Alfred

Thank you all for your words of encouragement. I have gained some motion (the power of meds); however, still painful. I will be going for physical therapy and perhaps CAT scan, as soon as they can get me in. Alfred

Alfred I didn't read this initially as I thought it was some sort of gag post. I am so sorry you were injured in this accident. Your Uber driver evidently never heard that it was bad luck to make a left hand turn into a funeral home. Now he knows! In this situation does applying heat or is it cold help at all? Hopefully you did not tear anything and just got bruised up a bit. Hang tough! With your good arm that is.  |

Chuck, LOL. Laughter is the best medicine - I think I remember this from Reader's Digest. Doc thinks it may be rotator cup issue; PT evaluation is next week. At least I've got some motion back - but ... if I move the wrong way. I'll shoot through the roof from the pain. None the less, I'm optimistic. Alfred

It sounds like a rotator cuff to me as you describe it. There goes your career as a pitcher or quarterback!
