Nice car, Keith. Now you’ll need a few more to make a string of them.

By contrast, I acquired this Marx carrier, empty of cars, in a mixed auction lot, quite by accident. I arranged a more or less permanent loan from my local grandsons from their vast (and now mostly neglected) collection of Hot Wheels to populate the spaces in the carrier, which has been running on the layout most days:

Nice car, for a nice string I would get between 6 and 8 cars.

In the event your train space is limited (as is mine) then another possibility, also Marx, would be to go in for some of the shorter auto carriers (well, in this case, trucks). Nice! Four wheel, six inch tinplate flat cars, I presume? Looking at your consist, I was reminded of my long-term puzzlement that so many of the Marx stamped steel vehicles seemed to model enclosed wheel covers, even when few if any of the prototypes ever actually sported such covers. After looking at your loads, I think I finally figured it out -- the "wheel covers" made it easier to affix the axles by just drilling holes in the sheet metal on each side, and popping the axles and wheels in place! Easy-peasy . . . and cheap!

steveoncattailcreek, yes they are 4 wheel flatcars - however, they are not ordinary flats, they have a clamp riveted to the body which holds the truck in place. These cars can be found with trucks, automobiles, gas trucks, a wrecker, vans, and busses but, according to the reference by Walt Hiteshew, the only correct loads are the cars and the trucks - the others are after the fact additions.
Except for paint colors the cars are all the same. The trucks, on the other hand, have a variety of differences in features - different colors for the truck and the bed, beds that are solid vs. slatted, beds with either a curved or flat rear and, for the flat ones beds with the tailgate up or down. The stampings for the truck body also varies. Earlier versions have square windows whereas later ones have windows with curved corners. The chrome treatment for the grill also changes, the trucks come with or without clockwork power, and the clockwork power can have either an attached key or a removable key.
Given the variety of truck and the lack of variety of the cars I have one flat with a car and all of the rest have trucks. The trucks in the picture show many of the features I mentioned above.

My only auto-carrier: A Lionel 6404 that came with a promotional set offered by Quaker Oats in the early 1960s: $11.95 and a couple box-tops and you were in business!

Actually, that's untrue; I have another one I made myself: A Lledo Packard ambulance on the frame of a repainted 800-series Lionel freight car; I used new repro couplers, journals, wheels and axles, and a bit of chain from the craft store.
