In my ‘It’s Coming Down’ thread, I mentioned that I was dismantling my layout. Now for the reason. In August, I said to my wife that we should move. I don’t know why this came to mind. By the end of October, we closed on a house about 25 minutes further north. I have not been on the Forum a lot b/c of packing etc. So, we are still in process of moving from our 130-year old house to a place that will be more conducive to ‘aging in place’ (and in better shape repair-wise). The good news is that there will be room for a layout (smaller than the one I now have –in a room, rather than an attic). I am looking forward to new layout construction and track plan. More to say later. Alfred

More to say later. Alfred I think this is a wise decision, Alfred. My wife and I just moved into a slightly smaller but much easier to care for house. We are considering this our last move. Good luck with your move. Moving is misery but once it's over and you are settled in you new home you will be better off.
