Today I mixed what orange paint, thinner, and a little white to lighten it and mixed it very well. ( Put it all in a small mason jar ) so I took a little of it and sprayed 1/2 of the other side and I believe it will just have to do. We will see tomorrow or so. I might wait for a different sprayer I have coming in.

as the title says standard gauge. it is 2 1/8 inches wide. Excuse me but the measurement is NOT in the title and this is a very legit question! Not everyone knows what Standard or G gauge are let alone HO, TT, OO, S, Z, N etc.

Not everyone knows what Standard or G gauge are let alone HO, TT, OO, S, Z, N etc. My response to you was what is stand gauge, there is no such thing so I corrected that then explained how wide the outside rails where to you so you knew. Which was a very legit response. That was the only way I knew how to explain to you what standard gauge is. This isn't the best picture but will give you an idea. Standard Gauge is on top shelf the rest is O gauge. I just remembered this picture. it would of been a better way to explain to you, but didn't think of it prior to now.

And a great collection of Standard gauge it is. Are they run also or shelf queens? Beautiful wall of trains. I am envious!

Either I'm doing something wrong or it just doesn't coat as good as a can of spray paint. using a airbrush @ 20 psi it took me a little over an hour to paint a 4" x 18" roof for my passenger car. it's coming out good thou. could also be I bought a el cheapo air brush. but it is looking good thou.

Okay here is how far I have gotten so far on the adventure.
Here is where I started
Primed
and roof primed
And roof painted, might have to give it a second coat.
time will tell will let it sit a couple of days before I decide what is next.

I took a look at it in the sun today and I see areas along the edges, ends and under the roof top ledge that I need to go over so I'm going to wait a couple of days for it to dry better, as it is still a little tacky and probably put it upside down so I can get the hang over ledge on the top as underneath there is not gotten very well at all.

No pics maybe tomorrow, but I painted the vestibules and the bottom, I'm going to let it sit a couple of days then work on painting the inside, but depends how it looks may do touch up.
With a airbrush it sure is a drawn out process. but it is looking good.

I already have another item for down the road, I have about 3 projects first.
I already have 2 in a little better condition, but figured since I already have the dark green paint might as well do these when I can,
