I'm thinking the bright colors are attracting the kid in me LOL I've done some rearranging again today. I still need to put a few items up and out of the way and then I will be able to get good pictures of the standard gauge side of the room. ( left side) I did get a Picture of the 400E and the 200 series cars on the top shelf on the right side of the room. 215, 220, 214, 214, 216, 219, 212, 212, & 217
It's not the greatest pic because of long it is and how close I have to be because of room size.

Okay got my Stephen Girard two tone cars in today. First shock due to me just presuming that all 400 series passenger cars where same size, Wrong! the Stephen Girard cars are a hair bigger than the 1766, 1767, & 1768 red cars but definitely smaller than the 418, 419, 431, & 490 cars. But still like them. so I was worried about the lighter color on the two tone green not matching my engine but it is close but not perfect but a lot better looking than I thought it was going to be.
so here is the left side of standard gauge train shelves
And here is the whole shelving unit except the observation car in the two tone green.

I would prefer the larger set with the 400E. I also want something that is in like new condition or new old stock.

I've talked about it in other post if not this one. So I pulled one of my Orange 400 series standard gauge passenger cars down so I could compare my mixing and see how close I can get. I think real close but it has to dry yet and that will be the real test.
That one was done with flash on so not sure if it flashed or not. The next 2 flash was off.
I think my first time with a airbrush I did pretty good. Note I only did the roof that is 1/2 way painted

I have the MTH version of the Stephen Girard 9E with Protosound: It spent a few Christmas seasons assigned to under-the-tree-duty. Had to do a hard reset on it when I foolishly allowed the battery to die.

Okay 1 day later and paint is still slightly tacky and it's hard to see in these pics but the test roof is slightly darker and I'm thinking come tomorrow it will be slightly more darker.

I see what you mean. It is very close to the original but ever so slightly darker.

More to come, but I need to mix a bigger quantity so I can paint the whole car when time comes. I have a different sprayer coming in, so may wait for that. Might take the engine apart I want to spray orange and strip paint and prime it for painting also.
I think if I can get it close like it is I will be happy but now getting it that close again might not be easy.
