These were supposed to be delivered this past January or so if I'm not mistaken. Like I said last time RMT seems to have Delivery issues, he says June or July but what year? Dave Attachments:

Once I’m confident that the coupler and truck issues are fixed I’ll get a string of these cars.

I have a couple of woodchip cars coming and just got the email - they say the ore cars are arriving at the same time. Are RMT and Menards using the same tooling for some of their cars?

Dave I LIKE THE US SUGAR BOXCARS. I HAVE SOME LIONEL DOMINO SUGAR CARS AND TANKERS IN FRONT OF MY C AND H SUGAR REFINERY SINCE DOMINO BOUGHT C AND H. C AND H WAS THE LARGEST SUGAR REFINERY IN THE WORLD SINCE 1888 RECEIVING SUGAR FROM HAWAII. HENCE THE C(CALIFORNIA) AND H(HAWAII) NAME. SINCE SUGAR IS NO LONGER GROWN IN HAWAII IT NOW COMES INTO C AND H FROM THE PHILLIPINES AND INDONESIA. AT ONE TIME BACK IN THE DAY THE REFINERY EMPLOYED 5000 WORKERS. TANKER CARS LINE THE SPURS FOR TRNASPORATION OF LIQUID SUGAR. REFINED CANE IS SHIPPED BOXCARS AND TRUCKS.

After the latest RMT ore car fiasco several months ago, I’m DONE pre-ordering anything remotely related to RMT. When I see the product with my own eyes and can test it in the local train shop, then maybe — just MAYBE — I’ll buy a few ore cars that caught my eye. But until then, I won’t pre-order a thing… nor will I even follow what RMT says in terms of estimated delivery dates. They’re not even in my radar screen anymore.
Thankfully, any RMT special-run deposits have been transferred to other purchases of in-stock merchandise at stores who had sponsored those special-runs. And a few of those stores no longer have plans to carry RMT products anymore.

I got one from Hennings a while ago. While smallish, they are a good representation. US Sugar is doing some RR restoration work in central Florida. They have their own steam enginer that is being used for excursions and photo run bys with several cars like the new RMT model.

... Hell hath no fury like a model train collector scorned?! Don't get me wrong... I wish Walter well. It can't be easy getting all this bad news from the early customers who got the first batch of ore cars made half way around the world from a factory who effectively did no quality control and testing before shipping the stuff to the States. When a simple piece of rolling stock derails going down a perfectly straight piece of track, you know you're in BIG trouble.
It's really a shame, because the graphics on the Beth Steel cars I purchased were IMPRESSIVE. But after seeing how bad the cars tracked, I cancelled my prepaid pre-order for New Hope & Ivyland ore cars. And Brady's gave me the option for a refund or store credit for some of the custom-run ore cars he was producing. I took the store credit and applied the monies to another purchase. And from what I heard, Brady's isn't gonna carry the RMT line anymore. A little birdie told me Hennings and Pats Trains are picking up the cars Brady cancelled.
Certainly a lot of a drama in our little corner of the world these days. I'd still might grab a few of these gems AFTER I see and test them at the store. I can do without the Beth Steel cars, since I already have a string of them. But the New Hope & Ivyland RR ore cars would be a nice addition to my roster.

It's now August. Where are the cars? RMT seems famous for missing orders and dates.
They used to be a good company. What happened?
Maybe they were on the ship that crashed in Baltimore harbor?

I assume you meant Hennings, not Brady for those New Hope and Ivyland ore cars since they are a special run by RMT only for Hennings Trains, not Brady Trains.

I assume you meant Hennings, not Brady for those New Hope and Ivyland ore cars since they are a special run by RMT only for Hennings Trains, not Brady Trains. Sorry for the confusion. I packed a lot on that last post. I purchased 4 in-stock Beth Steel ore cars at Henning’s while visiting the store. I already had prepaid for the New Hope & Ivyland ore cars about 2 years ago… also with Henning’s. I returned the Beth Steel cars when they wouldn’t stay on the tracks, and I then cancelled the New Hope & Ivyland pre-order… applying all monies paid to another purchase. Meanwhile, I had also received an email from Brady’s Train Outlet, where I had also paid and preordered some Westinghouse ore cars. The email gave me the option for a refund or a store credit. And I had just seen something in Brady’s online webstore. So I took the store credit and applied it to the web purchase. The email also stated Brady’s was dropping the RMT product line. Word on the street is those Brady RMT custom-runs are gonna be handled by both Henning’s Trains and Pat’s Trains.going forward. So we shall see what happens, when the cars are “redelivered” to the market. Hope that clarifies.
