Maybe the dog that smells something wrong with others should smell his own butt! That's funny and truthful as old RM over there once used the screen name "Miserable Cur" which is a dirty mean old nasty dog that is a butt-sniffer!

I was banned for correcting the infantile (Hot Air) HotWater in a professional manner. His response was acetic, yet showed that both him and AA cannot take helpful corrective criticism.....RFLMAO! After the initial ban, I was offered, in a VERY INSISTENT worded manner, to make a full subscription. N O P E....and here I am hanging out with awesome peeps. I have to add that when I corrected both AA and HOT Air...er, Water...a fellow on that forum named Lamming, bolstered my facts...... That didn't matter to both AA and Hot Air....lol That's not any way to run a forum..

I was banned from the OGR forum the first time because I revealed that one of the members who was a self proclaimed electronics expert was selling a smoke enhancing product both over the internet on OGR and at a hobby shop in Ambler PA was in fact aa direct copy of a device first designed and sold by Electric Rail Road. Once I posted the information and a photo of his product and the ERR product I was banned.
So, I waited a few months and signed up again using a new screen name, my former screen name was Trainman9 which was well known all the way back to the old AOL train forum days, and was successful in gaining access. I signed up while at my home in Duck NC which woul have a different IP and physical address. I was a member for several years and suddenly I could no longer sign in. My access was denied. AA claimed he had nothing to do with it and the decision was made by one of the moderators. I suspect the electronics guru found out who I was and got me suspended.
Last year while I was at a friends home in MD I tried to reapply using his address only to get an e-mail saying I had to subscribe to the magazine so they could verify the address. I did not subscribe.
Frankly, most of the posts on that site are mostly either Want to Buy or For Sale posts from a number of members. They don’t contribute anything for the most part.
I doubt if in future years the magazine survives in a printed edition but may mostly revert to a digital one.

One other thing. This so called expert bills himself as a Lionel Factory Authorized Service Center and uses this as his sign line on a Model Train Forum along with being an MTH Service center as well. He did attend the MTH training when it was offered a number of years ago but never attended the Lionel training sessions because he could not find a sponsor.
Any one who has work done under the impression that he is authorized by Lionel could be in for a rude awakening should there be any issues. They will have no recourse.

Way back when I was trying to sell a atlas engine that Barry the command/proto expert sold me, I didn't even remember he sodl it to me, anyway when I got it I replaced the electronics with ERR as it wouldn't run, sold to me stating so. anyway I made a comment about taking out what looked like Proto and put in TMCC and now works great. He sawed into me about how many times am I going to state that he should never of sold it to you, I turned around and said if you didn't say anything nobody would of know you sold something you couldn't fix, next thing I know his buddy AA remove most of his tex and a lot of mine to where it didn't even make sense of what I was trying to sell.
I suspect I will be next to be banned.

I have downloaded my receipt from the OGR website showing I paid for the subscription and that I am owed seven issues. I am still awaiting my refund. Is it a lot of money? No, but their is a principle here. I paid for a service to a vendor that the vendor refuses to provide to me and refuses to refund my money.

I like the BBB approach. For them to attempt to tie a magazine subscription is stretch. Go for it. AA will have to explain in writing.

Not to add much but if a website or magazine cancels a paid subscription without issuing a refund on the unused portion or issues, they are liable for refunding your money. If you have been cancelled without a refund, I would suggest turning this experience over to the US Postal police and filing a complaint. It may be considered mail fraud, a criminal offense.

Or contact the Attorney general of the state of Arkansas and inform them of OGR has been deleting accounts without giving refund. And not for doing anything on that particular site. If a few of you do it, it will give them cause to look into it. As stated this could be considered a criminal offense, because of the low amount of money it would be considered a minor offense but if more and more complain, it could get AA tail jacked up, and taught he can't just cancel your subscriptions without refund.
