I'm definitely have a large learning curve on the reassembling of these cars and the engine. I'm going to need to remove the steps I put on as I need to put the door assembly together first, I need to find some stiff wire about 1/32 - 1/64 in thickness to put down threw the holes to mount them. Reassembling the engine is not an easy joy either but it is going to end up a joy of love doing so. I have the cars put back together actually a little further than needed so will need undo some steps.

Once I get the other set of cars in Tuesday, I want to put my three 403 sets on shelves above each other, a 1923/24 set then 1925-1927 set and then my other 1923/24 set. and get a picture of all 3. I know the repainted set of cars will still be missing parts, but will be nice to see all 3 in one picture.

The set on the bottom row is the complete finished project except for the doors and some steps, The steps need to wait for the doors to be installed and the doors I'm waiting on new wire for hanging.

Anyway, I still had/have the doors, steps and lights added to be put on the repainted 418, 419, & 490 passenger cars. I got the wire I needed to rehung the doors today in the mail, A little big in thickness so had to drill out all 10 doors a hair, and all 20 mounting holes in the cars, I've gotten all drilling done for the doors and mounting holes and have hung 6 of the 10 doors, still have 4 more doors and 6 light sockets to mount and wire.
Will be glad when I'm done with this, I did not realize how much work is involved in repainting these cars, I did the taking apart and now the reassembling. But they will be nice when completed.
Not sure if I will try this again. Been a very interesting teaching. I had a friend do the actual stripping and repainting of the cars.
once everything is done I will get better pics of the set to finish this post.

Well the set on the bottom which has been repainted is finally done. ( well 99.9% as need to find screws tiny enough to fit holes that hold the sockets on cross member for three more lights. )
The green set needs two wheels replaced, I have just need to get with friend who has press and finish that.
The orange set needs a orange 9E and a orange 428 parlor car and it will be complete.
