Another Standard gauge building. This one is from 1938 - 1942. Missing the hedge that goes from one set of steps to the other following the line of the grass.
That is a beautiful model. Will you replace the hedge? With what?
I have a "late model" (1990s) Starlight Diner (K-Line) and a Mid-Town Models (Lionel) trackside structures, both powered by my original CW-80 transformer. I might start them up today in tribute to your ol' timer!

I've been told by a couple they seem to believe it originally was about 1/2" tall. the listing "Walthers SceneMaster HO Scale Tall" Hedges/Bushes - Dark Green (5/8" High)

Okay I bought a 402E, 418, 419, & 490 Passenger cars the other day, The cars where described as repaints with original # fading, I went into mode. Well they came in and no not repaint and yes fading of stamping. The engine is another story, needs a complete rebuild.
The cars did have about 10 years worth of dust inside them, ( which I'm still cleaning out. )
Needs rewiring from word go.

This is my latest acquisition. Now I just need to put them out on the layout. But maybe I oughta paint them first.

Yes my room is a total mess. The engine looks great and makes a very attractive train with the passenger cars.

rtraincollector, If your room is messy, it means that you are working on trains. Have fun with the refurbvishing. Alfred

Adam, Where are you intending to use the figures? Alfred Great question. The package has something like 100 standing and seated figures. Some will go into cars, some on benches and some will just be standing/walking in various places.

My son took me to a train warehouse today and I did not leave empty handed. I purchased the following. All of the items are in very good to excellent condition. All were in original boxes ()one box car box was missing all of the flaps at one end; and the other box was missing only the short tuck portion of one end flap. Here are details of the equipment. The Lionel 2046 locomotive with tender was from 1951-52. The orange Great Northern 6464-25 was from 1953-54. The silver and yellow Denver & Rio Grand Western is from 1951-52, 53. The 2046 ran incredibly well. Its E-Unit was quiet and smooth. The loco had no problem pulling a 5 car consist (the one that I had been running with two powered 218bdiesels in tandem - I am going to add the 2 new box cars on the video run. The cost was reasonable, and I am very pleased with the purchases. I was looking for some new road names and I wanted some bright colors for layout visitors - so I had my son on the lookout. I will have photo/ video soon. Alfred
