Craig we have room for the Polar Express to back in and we will have to juggle some of them.
Only problem is the remaining two trains. They have to visit the station tracks for now. There power can be shut off.

Some parts finally came in the mail today so i can continue.
The sign was delivered for the Eveready Battery Plant and waiting to be installed.
Some Lionel Oil Derek parts and valves came in for the storage facility.
Ladder and cage to be installed.
Now I just need time

Looking good. Almost gives me the feeling I'm back in the field. One suggestion, don't forget the vents on top off tanks. Otherwise pumping products from the tanks will collapse them. I made mine from small piping from plastic piping heated in boiling water and bending them into shape.

There power can be shut off. Bill, good point. I do have a siding where I could put the Polar Express, but my shelf and siding space is just about maxed out. Getting the Polex into its boxes and under the layout till Black Friday opens up space for the non-holiday trains, protects the Polex, and then after Turkey Day when the Polar Express resurfaces, it’s like unwrapping a new train, or an old friend.

As I said in another thread I wired two lighted pickup trucks from Menards yesterday.
I also changed out the trains I'm running going with more modern trains. I'm running the Trump Train pulling a freight, the FEC GP38 pulling a freight train and an Amtrak passenger train. As I was running trains I heard an annoying squeak. It turned out to be the Amfleet passenger cars. I oiled them and now there is no squeak.

Joe the cars look very nice and really add a lot to the layout.
Craig, Polar Express backed into place and power is off for the season. Two other Christmas trains are at the station. Passenger count is running about 10% of normal due to Covid so plenty of room. Need to find a place for the Bipolar or a J and the tracks will be somewhat clear. Boxing some of this up is probably a good idea until we can build some additional shelves.
Roundhouse progress will continue AM. Doc has been watching the shorts in the market so I am going it alone and moving ahead. Beams that are being added are cut and fit and it is a lot easier when one of us can cut and the other glue.

Sounds like a plan, Bill, sometimes you have to go it alone. I'm sure the beams will work well.

As of a few minutes ago, my Polar Express is now vacationing down South (under the layout that is all boxed up and resting up for next season. In fact all the Christmas sets are now all put away down South with the Polar Express. Finally done. Three loops are now empty, tomorrow I will add trains to the loops. Today, I will have fun thinking about what to run. For now I am taking advantage of the open track and am running a streetcar or trolley on each of the three loops. I love the holidays, but changing out the trains is good!

Record cold strikes Roanoke Valley. Snow paralyzes City. Record cold and blustery winds struck the Star City yesterday just after the last roof beams were set on Norfolk and Western’s roundhouse that is scheduled to open this Spring. Employees working in the extreme weather resorted to desperate tactics to remain warm. Pictured below is Doctor Richard Holden who was treating frostbite and dehydration while also assisting with beam erection. The first beams were erected at first light Monday and the well planned effort moved along quickly. By 10:00, three rear beams were secured in place. Snow and high winds were forecast for early afternoon. The last beam was set in the clerestory at 14:38. Snow had begun as the weary crew was packing up. By 8:00 this morning, more than 22 inches of snow made the site inaccessible. Roof construction should begin when the weather moderates. Attachments:
