Good stuff Mark - nice display! I've realized I need some type of shelf arrangement. My little shortline layout is now looking a bit ridiculous if everything is parked on it. FW Thank you!! Yes, things can get so crowded, you can hardly move a train! Both sets of shelves were a long time coming!

My Bow-legged Bridge looks a little less so now. (But the name has stuck) I broke out the Plastruct and added tie-beams and vertical bracing to the Lionel trestle sections. The Engineering Dept. figures it's plausible construction for a heavily-loaded bridge curving around a side-slope. FW

Firewood, the Bowlegged Bridge is looking much more structurally sound now, though it probably is just as sound as it was before.

Put 2 shelves up on the trusses in the Train Attic and relieved some of the cluster on the layout and under the layout.
Put up LED lighting under the shelving to light up the Spooky Town part of the layout.... so, more progress.
I may take a mental health day and get the ceiling tiles to be put up between the trusses, now that I have both Home Depot gift cards in hand.

Started taking the Christmas consists off the layout. One loop done, three more to go. Taking down Christmas is one of my least favorite jobs.

Good day working. Unboxed, oiled and greased, programmed, the new bipolar electric. Checked it out. Sure enough, a small part was lying in the box. I just left it there. If I glue it on, it will just come off again. Lionel is kidding themselves; people don’t want to see broken off parts in the box. Poor QC. Twice in a row for us on new Lionel engines. No new catalog orders for us. I bet the Sunset GP9s do not have the problem when they come in. Also put some engines away. It is time to switch from Christmas and horrors, there isn’t enough shelf space again. We have got to get the second level operational, especially the engine service area. That will clear a decent amount of space. Doc was busy today so I went at the clerestory walls by myself. Erected the last front wall and five more in the rear. One to go but it needs some sanding to fit. That required getting off the layout and I said enough. Do it tomorrow. Seven front windows Mid-afternoon photo sent to Doc One rear wall section left. Touch up the interior/exterior paint is next. Probably the 4th time.

Craig we must have been thinking alike. I got one put away and cleared a passenger yard track for the Polar Express. Takes awhile.

Craig, My single loop Christmas layout is still up, but I did put two trains sets away over the last couple days. I have the Polar Express back on the track. Yesterday I finally figured out that it was the new skiing hobo car that was loading down the power. I put that car on the track and the voltage goes to Zip! Take it off, and all is swell. It is on the rip track to be looked at more closely later.
Bill, That roundhouse is looking really great! Thank you for the ongoing photographic documentation!!

Bill, Taking down Christmas is best done in small doses. FYI, many friends have told me 3rd Rail locos always come broken off parts floating around in the box. Mark, For some reason we always take down Christmas after the NFL Championship games. Dunno why.

We have quite a few Third Rail and none to date which is kind of surprising given the detail.
Lionel is 2-2 on the Virginian FM and Bipolar PE. In their defense, there does appear to be more detail on their engines than there used to be but, if it is going to break off in shipping, forget it.

Today I added a Lionel #3424 Operating Brakeman Car. I had to make some repairs to the car, clean it up and service the moving parts. Once I had the triggering base plates connected to the track, they both kept shorting out. When I figured out the problem, I added electrical tape between the base assembly plates and the center rail. No more shorts. This box car is a nice addition to my little 5ft. X 10ft. layout.

I had this annoying empty spot next to the OGF Clubhouse and decided I needed a shady little rundown corner bar. The little mini-me building is the result. The entire thing is 3D printed. I used the fantastic painting and ghost sign techniques from Andre (huge thanks Andre!).
