Nice job on the street, Joe. It looks like some New York City streets that were originally brick or cobblestone and then were paved over and the pavement wears and breaks up and the original surface shows through.
I like the idea of a trolley running down the street.

Nice addition Joe. The old cobblestones turned out well! Nice fencing as well.
Gary.

Finally got the lights installed for the shelves under the front of the layout. The on/off switches include dimmersThey will be helpful when we are operating in “night mode” and some non-intrusive walkway light is needed. Tomorrow I have to clean up as Charles will be here Friday for Roundhouse Post installation. Once that is accomplished, we can build the clerestory. The next non-roundhouse project will be completing the passenger station installation. It has been sitting in place since we picked it up in York almost two years ago. Later we got two additional three foot sections of station platform that were also set in place. Some LEDs need to be switched and the wiring cleaned up. It wasn’t practical for Harry to complete everything due to the size and detailing; we all agreed that we would do that here.

That looks real sweet Bill. Nice job and the lower level is a good space instead of cluttering up your walls. Like that lighting. Maybe, maybe my shelves would shine like that.

They have to be dimmable LED strips so that they do not overwhelm things. We have been trying to figure out where to put the dimmers... on the front or under the layout. It doesn’t appear to us that we will want them any brighter. They are on 3 with 1 being the brightest and 4 the dimmest. Glass is a pain but stops most of the dust. For some reason, we are getting more dust than I expected. Keep checking filters but they are pretty clean. Ease of use vs dust.

Bill, the shelves look great. I think the dimmers are a great idea for night operations.

River is painted, flip up mounted and works. Inner main, tracks all cut to fit, mounted to truss bridge. Outer main is giving me fits. I needed to replace one piece of track on the east end between flip up and first crossover. I have no idea what happened, but I think I put it down with hot glue. It's out. Barely. New track is ready to fit together and attach to truss bridge, outer will go in first, then inner, then wire safeties in. Ground cover later, have a dock to build for the rowboat I've saved all these years.

Traffic was backing up on the outer main worse than cars on the streets of Seattle. It’s been two days. Is the East End problem cleared?
Sounds like you have made a lot of progress. How about some pictures?

Outer main and bridge is in. 35+ years ago when that line went in, I think here was a curl in the track that the nails I was using would not hold in place. We were so careful to only put nails into sound stop to prevent noise. Found out it made no difference, now long stainless screws right into base plywood. Anyway, looks like we hot glued the track on that curve down. New track, new alignment, now headed down to install inner main and bridge.
