From My Brooklin Collection... Post #037It's been a minute since I posted any additional models to this thread. My apologies, I will try to improve on that. This post features a special model... The 1st NABCC club model. The Buick brand has always fascinated me having grown up with them in the family, they were always my dad's favorite car. He had several over the years. Funny thing, while I've driven quite a few, I've only owned one, an '81 Buick Le Sabre Limited Sedan. It was a big brute, virtually indestructible. Anyway, this model arrived just a few days before Christmas, for a couple of moments I considered holding off the opening until Christmas Day, but nope. I had to see these beauties right away. Here's a couple photos of the 1st one of two I received. A Limited Edition of 130, mine are #24 & 25. They are finished in Dover White & Seminole Red. 1956 Buick Century Convertible - BRK 237x ...the 519th & 520th models to join my collection. This post also features the Sinclair gas pumps I picked up at the recent NB Center event last month. A quick note about my acquisition numbering. My models are given a number when the purchase is made, not when they arrive. So even though they were just received, they were added several months ago.

From My Brooklin Collection... Post #038OK, it's been another bit since I posted a model to this thread, my improvement is still a "work in progress" I guess.
Today's model is an old one from Brooklin. Originally issued in 1989, as BRK 6. This one however, has been modified by an excellent craftsman. Unfortunately, I don't have any info on who crafted it. When it arrived, the model was quite dirty and both bumpers were broken as well as the luggage rack. In addition, a somewhat crude attempt was made to create a headlight lens with paint. A good cleaning and an inexpensive doner car soon set things right. I replaced the bumpers and the front grill/headlight assembly (I just couldn't deal with the headlights lenses) The luggage rack wasn't usable, so I utilized the one from the doner, which meant the trunk that had been made was not used. I'll save it for another model or figure a way to rework the luggage rack on this one. 1932 Packard Light Eight Cabriolet Coupe - BRK 6x ...the 539th model to join my collection.
