From My Brooklin Collection... Post #015I have been collecting model cars in one scale or another since I was 5yrs old. Until 1990, the majority of my models were 1/64 scale or similar, it was then I discovered the Franklin Mint and shortly later, the Danbury Mint. My main model focus became 1/24 scale from those Mints and other model makers. This relationship continued until early 2014, when the last of the major manufacturers had ceased operations. During this nearly 25yr period, I also added a few 1/43 & 1/18 scale models as well as a continued interest in 1/64. It was the early summer of 2014 and I had not bought a new model for a few months, I was searching eBay for something interesting and I discovered a 1955 Lincoln Capri Sedan from Brooklin Models. I had heard of and even seen a few Brooklin models in photos, but I never paid them much attention-they were very different from what I had been collecting so far. My 1st concern was about pricing, they seemed to be priced kind of high for the size and what I thought I was getting. But to be honest, I was suffering from withdrawals, so I decided to order one of the Lincoln models as well as two others I found interesting. Now when they arrived, to say I was mystified just doesn't do my experience justice. These were the most amazing models I'd ever purchased, and those three began a incredible interest in Brooklin models that has endured for seven years now and 516 more wonderful white metal gems in my collection. I look forward to them continuing with more fabulous models and of course the older ones I still need to find-lots of fun yet to come. Now here's that model in a little diorama I put together. 1955 Lincoln Capri Sedan-BRK 197 ...the 1st Brooklin model to join my collection

From My Brooklin Collection... Post #016As I stated in my previous post, when I discovered Brooklin Models in mid-2014, I purchased 3 models at the same time. The '55 Lincoln was the 1st I found, this DeSoto was the 2nd. I have always really liked the style of the '54 DeSoto and since I had never seen one in any scale, so this was truly something special. I couldn't wait for these three models to arrive (more on the 3rd later)

From My Brooklin Collection... Post #019Brooklin Models issued the 1st 1960 Cadillac in 2013-I had seen photos of it and I put it on my list, but there were others with a higher priority. Now I had read the criticisms about the overall look of the model, and from the photos I had seen-it did look a bit off. In mid-2015 Brooklin issued a hardtop coupe of their 1960 Cadillac in Siena Rose, it was then I decided it might be time to add a 1960 Cadillac model to my collection. Even with that, it still took until 2017 to make that possible. I bought the hardtop coupe & the 6-window sedan in pink at the same time. I thought they looked good together as a pair. Now when the models arrived, I was blown away by the look of the models, they were both quite amazing. Now they weren't perfect, in a few ways, Brooklin did not quite capture the correct look of the 1960 Cadillac. With that, it didn't matter to me, these models were amazing-they said 1960 CADILLAC to me in every way, I was very much impressed. So much so, that I have continued to add each of the models Brooklin issued, eleven in total. At least I think I have added them all... Here's the 1st Brooklin 1960 Cadillac model in my collection. 1960 Cadillac Series 62 Hardtop Coupe - BRK 207 ...the 197th Brooklin model to join my collection
