Here is mine on the mainline next to a Lionel 6464 boxcar. Lionel boxcars are 40' length but a bit narrow and quite short. The caboose looks considerably better with a Railking or Menards boxcar in front of it. Even though the Lionel boxcar is rather short I think the caboose looks fine, at least by O gauge toy train standards.
I expected the caboose to be a brighter red, more like a Lehigh and Hudson River caboose, but it looks very good in it's caboose brown scheme. This is a great addition to my caboose fleet and will see lots of time on the layout.

My cabeeses showed up today. Here are pics of each side. You'll notice a few differences in them. One has a gentleman inside while the other does not. One has side lanterns while the other does not. One has a crooked -1 and something rattling around inside of it. The anniversary edition is correct and has the 2nd anniversary decal on each side. The diamond edition is incorrect. It has a diamond on one side and a second anniversary edition decal on the other. Could have just ordered the caboose with both decals. If you're wondering about the one looking more red - that was a special request I paid extra to have done.

All of the Diamond Editions are that way.

I figured my two favorite cars should be pulled by my favorite locomotive.
On a side note, this shouldn’t work at all. Both of the OGF cars are made for larger radius curves than I have on my layout. Yet, somehow no problem!

Fixed the rattling in the one caboose. One of the bulbs was out of its socket. Probably was bounced during shipping. 😆

Adam, thanks for the excellent video. There are a lot of MTH Premier cars that will run on O31 curves but many that will not. You have to be careful when purchasing scale size cars if you have tight curves.

Mine arrived Friday as we were en route from Arizona for Thanksgiving. It's still in the shipping box while we are decorating for Christmas.

Picked mine up from my house (I'm staying with Mom for the duration) and was not happy when I saw the box ---- crushed on one side - I expected the worst when I open up the shipping box and the MTH box was crushed in kind ---- again, fearing the worst, the caboose, thanks to it's styrofoam protection, was unscathed. Thank the lord.....
I had dinner with my Jenni, my Princess and my Mom and all were impressed. Nice piece!! NOW to decide which Christmas layout it gets run on......
Thanks, guys - very happy with this !!!!

We had to work hard to find these extended window Premier Extended Window Cabooses, and some boxes showed some storage wear from the dealer's stock. But, we made sure all of the Cabooses were in perfect condition.
Glad you're happy with it.
