Thanks Adam!! Another Great Thread! You're on a roll....keep up the good work! Gary and Cheryl. Thanks. I figured we all have things we like about our layouts that we could consider to be our favorites. Just trying to keep the fun flowing.

Banff Springs Hotel. This building is made out of the 1960s American Skyline kits, made by Elgo. I was able to get multiple kits from eBay. It is my favorite because I spent a year building, it filled a space on my layout perfectly and it is an historically accurate Grand Railroad Hotel built in 1888 by the Canadian Pacific Railroad. It is an eye catcher and my guests are always drawn close up to view. Wood, that entire scene is just stunning. I would like to summer there if I could.

Agreed with Brian. I bet it was fun to find a model that matches your real home so closely.

NJD, that's pretty cool having a model of your home on your layout. It's hard for me to pick a favorite building on my layout. I like them all. But, I'll pict this trailer. It's a Woodland Scenics model and has a printed interior. You can see the TV in the living area through the window and it flickers like it's actually on. It's a really cool effect and set it apart from other buildings that don't do that.

Forrest, the details you put into the theatre make it a really special building.

Forest, I love buildings like that, shaped in an unusual way but fit a notch in the layout (or real world) just right.

Forrest, I think Flatiron Buildings are neat and add a great architectural element to a train layout! Your interior work is very well done.
Gary.

Great stuff everyone!
My only buildings so far are only MTH prebuilt types. I do have a Lionel “Rico” station kit that I want to start.
If anyone remembers the old HO AHM kits, there was one called “Arlee” station. I wish it was made in O scale. That is one I like a lot...

Do you mean this one Tom?? Tyco made an HO model as well! $9.96 on ebay, Gary.

Yes, that’s it. I have a unassembled AHM kit I bought a couple years back. I also have the AHM kit I put together when I was 10 years old! I can still remember building it. Tyco took over the molds at some point and continued making them. AHM had some great buildings. Too bad they never jumped into the O scale market like they did with their O scale steam engines and cars..
