Dear Plastruct:
I have been a major consumer of your products for more than 20 years. I have spent THOUSANDS of DOLLARS on your stuff. In that time, I have noticed the following trends:
- Like most everyone else, your products have seen a major increase in price. No surprise there, but your stuff is pricey.
- You have REMOVED dimension information from the products on your website. It is now virtually impossible (without a paper catalog) to determine the proper size of components unless you already know what you’re looking for. What idiot thought that would help sales? Here's what I mean.
- You don’t answer phone calls or e-mails. Seriously?
This begs the overall question: WTF is wrong with you?
Yes, I'm angry. Get your head out of your @$$!

I'm just sick to death of knuckleheads that are just too stupid for words. And there are a lot of them in the hobby business. People who have been somehow dealt a great hand by fate and made immune from Darwinism in business. Honestly, some of these vendors should be asking you if want fries with that.

Your right. I also noticed the change and I also bought a hunk of stuff from them. Yeah, they removed the dimensions from the items. But did they remove the pop-up that says they are new owners and ask for patience? No. That's been there for 5 years at least.
Definitely can't fix stupid.

Whew take a breath there Kemosabe. A note like this could be taken as hostility. You might want to approach them in a better light, H+ll, you might score some freebees. Manufactures are looking to always cut corners, and it's nice to tell them they are piece of dung, but I would sugar coat it a bit as a suggestion and see what comes to light.

Thanks for playing JDaddy, but Plastruct deserves everything I've said. Hostile? If I weren't 70 years old, I'd start a competitor and run Plastruct out of business. Do you know how many times I have e-mailed them? In what alternate reality does removing dimensions (they were on the website!) make sense? How does that reduce costs?
I'm done asking stupid people to do the right thing (for their own sake).
Consider this thread closed.

I can tell you from experience that when we received a letter like yours it went directly to the circular file. If a email it gets deleted without reading it. Yes your upset but hollering at them will get you no where.
Now write a letter stating your gripes without the hyperbole and ask them in a nice easy manner what you would like to see changed. You may be surprised at their response!

Hey G3750....I agree with your anger/confusion/distrust and plain ol' skepticism of Plastruct! I've had very similar experience with MTH and their crappy Realtrax. It's called "take the money and run". To the tune of $1400.00 or thereabouts! AGAIN...I totally agree with you G3750...it's the indifferent attitude towards customers that make or break a business. As for "letters like yours go in the circular file"? Yeah, that's ticket...keep going that route, then NOBODY is buying your wares...company does a crash n burn...lol...deserve it!

Really Dave? Would you or your company have done things to put yourself in such a situation?
Sorry (not sorry). I'm tired of begging stupid people not to be stupid.

George, it's me again. After trying to do business with these folks and coming away mad & frustrated, I came to this conclusion: "Never try to teach a pig to sing. It wastes your time and annoys the pig".
Sad to say that this the now world we live in.

Sad to see but customer service has all but disappeared from most every business. not all but most. I might as well add those companies using people that talk in broken English.

Are they the only game in town? I'm thinking they are for many of their components. As businesses pass from one generation to the next, service and understanding often degrades. The passion dissipates over time, and folks are taken for granted. Eventually they just peter out.

No George we tried not to be as stupid as they have become but when customers wrote us with suggestions and comments, good or bad we always responded but if the customer can't write a comment without insulting us or using foul language then they have no right to deserve an answer, in the trash it goes. The company I worked for was in business for over 60 years and to this day they are still in business.
If they are as clueless as you say they are I doubt they will be in business very long.
