I guess the owners of Lionel / NASCAR Diecast are OK with the revenue results since the same crew are still employed.

It's not just Lionel, guys.
When it comes to incompetence, the model train market is what the military calls "a target rich environment".
You've got to dig through a lot of s*** to find the pony.

Good to hear from you George. I noticed a change in your tag, which now includes Division C. Why the change? Alfred

Wow, just out of the blue, a thread bashing a manufacturer... just because... How 1990's...
As for me, I like trains from Lionel, Atlas and MTH and at one time or another, I have found problems with all of them. I am just glad that we have three healthy companies to choose from in 2024 and I hope it stays that way. I think I will go down stairs and run some trains. Its funny how they all look the same out of the box and on the track.

Hey I have both MTH, Legacy, tmcc trains. I enjoy them all. Dave

Unfortunately this cartoon could apply to a lot of manufacturing/importers/service industries these days. As my father in law used to say; 'You can't complain about the service, there is none'.

Hey I have both MTH, Legacy, tmcc trains. I enjoy them all. Dave Its not that funny, its gratuitous and provocative. Do you have complaint about a specific product from any of the manufactures? Then post it. But to imply that the management of Lionel is so inept that they can't even put a hotdog into a bun correctly is not useful to anyone and it seems more like an attempt to reignite the MTH vs Lionel flame wars that I thought we grew out of as a hobby. And for the record, I am not trying to be the board police. Everyone has a right to bash Lionel, MTH or Atlas to their hearts content. But I would say, don't be shocked if you get some well deserved pushback when you do.

Perhaps the really not funny part is that a goodly number of folks may find the cartoon pretty representative of if not Lionel products, then how Lionel management responds to their product's issues when they occur.
Yueltide anyone?
No product, company, or person is perfect; at least all the time. (Members of OGF excepted of course!)
What distinguishes the truly great person and or company is what they do to resolve/fix a problem once it occurs.
On that basis not comparing Lionel to any other company, the Wonker Weiner cartoon is an apt metaphor IMO.
The real question is mustard, ketchup, and or relish?

I was born and raised in Glen Cove, NY, about 35 miles east of New York City. In the metro NYC area ketchup goes on hamburgers and mustard goes on hot dogs. Only a weirdo would put mustard on a burger or ketchup on a hot dog.
Now I live in Florida and I have to remember that people here have exotic tastes. They actually put both mustard and ketchup and sometimes even mayonnaise on hamburgers. YUCK! They put ketchup on hot dogs. YUCK! If we eat out I have to remember to order my hamburger with only ketchup and pickles and my hot dog with only mustard and sauerkraut, nothing else.
Dirty Harry is right, nobody puts ketchup on a hot dog ðŸŒ

I have been on the other side many moons ago and had many comments aimed at the company I worked for and it was my job to set the record straight. When you are a head of a company you have to learn to take jabs and critical responses to what your doing. Having a sense of humour of what other people may say about you or your company is a part of life. Btw I hung that picture in a regional office of the company I worked for in the early 80's, as they say if the shoe fits!!
It hung there till the very end of the company

It wasn't witty, brilliant, or useful when you first posted it and doubling down on this goofball trolling meme doesn't make it any more witty, brilliant or useful today. Would you walk up to Ryan or Dave at a show and wave that cartoon in their faces and say, "This is what I think all you guys running Lionel." They would look at you like you like were a dufus and then move on to another customer that would have something intelligent or useful to say. Saying you hung this at your office back in the early 1980s just shows how behind the times you are. Welcome to 2024, the train wars are over, and good luck to MTH, Atlas, and Lionel.

It's not "Division C". It's "c.", which is the abbreviation for the Latin preposition "circa", meaning approximately.
