Thank you RJ, Josef and Gary. I feel like I do have a good rendition. This first structure showed me the correct proportions for the addons. I screwed it up with the white paint dabbing. Too much and too sloppy. I will definitely repaint the tank. Then move on to the small tower and the larger tower for the articulated flats. The video is first class in giving a true picture of these towers and tanks. I think the paint looks good. If you do it again, try just "dry brushing" the white. Josef, I have never figured out the meaning of "dry brushing", would you please explain the technique. Thanks

Thanks Were you barely dip brush into paint then take brush and wipe back and forth over a piece of paper, (I use paper towel) till you think you got it almost off and then brush the model were you want. It leaves a lighter coat and uneven more realistic. Just practice on a scrap piece of plastic. They use it for weathering also. Its also not as thick and leaves almost a transparent look through to the base coat. (I may not describe the results the best, but what I do a lot)

Wood, that looks fabulous, just like the prototype photo! I think you did an outstanding job painting it.

Wood, I found this video that explains and demonstrates the dry brushing technique. He is painting military figures but the technique is the same for railroads.

Using my "Social Distancing" time to great reward. Nobody is in the basement except me and Zeke. Refitted the articulated flats with the bolster and saddle. This will allow the towers to swing wide on curves without derailing the flats. Little bit of engineering but it came out well and runs around all of my curves. Next up is the small tower.

Have to ask, did Superman deposit that car on the roof, or is it magic?

Josef, We have a restaurant in town that has an old LaFrance fire truck on the roof. Superman just deposited an old Ford Fairlane. I feel jipped.
