Here's a nice decal set that would work great for you...black lettering for the gold background and gold lettering for the red background. DecalsPerfect decals. I just ordered them. Thanks!

Very good...I've purchased a number of sets from them, and I've never been disappointed.

Adam, your cars are looking great, you have got some talent!
Healey 36 I love your 253 how it turned out! I never heard of “Woods” paint? Where can I purchase it? The orange stripe on bottom turned out great! Did you get the orange from woods also?
Any tips from you or Adam you would like to share on painting
Bob

My painting is improving but I am by no means an expert. The only tip I will give you that I learned is to use the right paint. Tamiya spray and Testors brush on are to me is the best for modeling. Don't waste time on other types of paint.

Everything is done except the delicate task of reassembly. Fingers crossed none of the tabs fall off in the process. Will give it a go tomorrow. Im happy with the paint color choices. Sort of a Christmas theme. Wish me luck!

There’s always the debate of whether to twist tabs or bend them ove. I, for one, almost always bend them over...very carefully.

The Red and Gold look great together (in my opinion). I agree - great look. 👍👍

I’ve not gotten to the reassembly yet. I should find the time and focus tomorrow.
I’m not worried of some of the tabs break. I’ve got a soldering iron and will do what is needed.

Well, Bob's post here motivated me and I got to it this eve and I am glad I did! Some of the tabs along the window did break but not enough to warrant any soldiering. The window inserts fit snuggly and the tabs that remained are more than enough to hold them in place. It took a bit of finesse to get the roof back on property. Primarily some bending to get the top of the car back into the right rectangular shape so the roof would snap on correctly. I like the result and I’ve learned some things to help make the next two cars go more smoothly. I will need to open her up once again to try to bend the window inserts out a bit more. Learning process for sure! Another thing i will do differently on the next one is to spray on the Gold. I used Testors brush on (don't have an air brush yet). Picked up some Gold Tamika spray yesterday. I’m likely to get a better bulb for the light. LEDS (at least the ones I have on hand) aren’t warm enough. Attachments:

Thanks. Not sure when I will get to the other two. Never enough time for these projects.
