Anyone here planning on doing an EASTER train garden this year? Easter comes early this year so start your planning now. I am in the planning phase now. Was going to do another layout for Valentines day but last years was not very popular for some reason. I thought it was pretty fun. I am excited for the Easter garden this year.

Not here; we're packing up the garden stuff for another year. Christmas is all we can handle; the other holidays, Easter, Fourth of July, Halloween, etc., go without themed temporary displays.

Never really thought about it. Not sure what I would do. Yeah, I'm kinda in the same camp. Other than bunny- and egg-themed pastel consists, I'm not sure what you could do that would be recognizable as an "Easter" layout. AFAIK, there's no deep model train traditions like there are for the archetypical Christmas layout, and no focal point like a Christmas tree to ground it. I suppose you could go full religion themed, but that doesn't seem to be much of a deep model train tradition, either. So, OP or others, what do you think might constitute an "Easter layout"?

I am hoping that the benchwork and basic track system for my new layout will be in place by then; none the less, I don't do an Easter garden. Alfred

Never really thought about it. Not sure what I would do. Emile and I have been doing them for several years now. They are not as hard to do as you may think. You can check out our YouTube channels and get ideas from ours. For me, the hardest part is finding the music to go with the video.
