Anyone have any of the K-Line Interurbans. I know they made a number of them in different road names. Were any of them TMCC command equipped.

Anyone have any of the K-Line Interurbans. I know they made a number of them in different road names. Were any of them TMCC command equipped. I have one, the Chicago South Shore and South Bend pair that is K-Line tooling but dates from the "K-Line by Lionel" period:
I've seen some others in different road names including PRR. The build quality is exceptionally good and IMHO one of K-Line's better efforts. But to your question about TMCC, I think that the answer is no. Mine is equipped with prototypical station announcements under a system that I think was called "K Sound" but is conventional operation only. I once looked into having it converted to TMCC but was told by the techie that the sound could not operate under command control. As the sound is one of the chief attractions of my set I was not willing to lose it.
Here is a copy of the online K-Line Legacy Catalog listing of interurban sets, none of which is shown as having TMCC:

Actually after a little of research I found that K-Line produced two with TMCC/Railsounds pre Lionel. They were #’s K27801 PRR and K-27781 Pacific. I’ll look for the PRR one next time I go to York as well as listing a WTB on E-Bay.

It would account for the significant price difference between these two sets and the other ones on the K-Line Legacy website I checked. I wish they or Lionel had done TMCC on the South Shore set I have but with the sounds and body/interior detail it is OK for my purposes.
I did stumble across an old OGR thread that suggests mine can be converted to TMCC but it was described as a risky proposition . . .
