Are you talking about commanding different locomotives? Because there's only one horn or bell sound per loco.

You need a CAB2 system in order to toggle through the different horns/whistles/bells. You might be able to do that with the phone app but I’m not sure. Also not all Legacy engines have those features.

Also not all Legacy engines have those features. You also can do it with the cab1, each new Legacy locomotive with Bluetooth since about 2018 has five horns/whistles and five bell sounds. To activate it you press the horn button, aux1 for each sound, go thru the sounds and stop at the one you really like. Very easy. Same with the bell. With a little practice you will wiz thru those sounds. Dave

That answer is wrong, Lionel did produce a set of the remote and base just not lately.
Try to get a cab1 and base, TrainZ does have them. It will do all that you need for now.should be in $250-$350 range.

Dave Actually Lionel decided not to continue to produce the CAB1L base stating when they discontinued the CAB2 that the components were no longer available. That is not what Mike Regan told me when I met with him at his office at Lionel Headquarters in NC prior to his leaving the company. He said “ the CAB1L has sustainable components that will be used in the new additions of the CAB2”. That of course never happened.
