I put it off till the doc said You can't wait any longer. That was about 2 years ago. All is well. Colors are bright, the sun is very bright. Never needed sunglasses, now I know why.

My wife had both eyes done for cataracts last year. NO pain but a great improvement in her sight as far as colors and brightness went.
Excellent doctor and staff at a eye surgery center close to us.

Had my first surgery done on my eyes this past Wednesday and thanks to some of the guys here it was as easy as they stated. My left eye was done this time, a lens was installed and cataracts were removed. My right eye will be done hopefully in another month or so. The change so far is just amazing. Thank you Brian, Joe and others for encouraging me to get this done. Thanks guys, Dave Lens? Like a super hero or cyborg laser guided eye lens?

IIRC, they can replace the organic OEM lens with a clear silicone based substitute of the same shape and size. The muscles in your iris cause it to change shape and focus just like the original did, only clearer and more durable! Cyborg indeed . . .
