Well the next few weeks through to the end of the year oughta be VERY interesting in terms of new Lionel product shipments. Let's hope quality issues don't disappoint!!! On a recent YouTube video, I recall Lionel's Ryan Kunkel mentioning that there will be little IF ANY carryover of the 2023 Volume 1 Catalog (i.e., Big Book) items into the new year. So dealers are gonna get slammed with deliveries in coming weeks... immediately following shipments of the recent Vision Big Boy. Included in these shipments should be the long-awaited Strasburg #90. I've done enough damage elsewhere, so this is of no interest to me. But I realize some folks here are anxiously awaiting its arrival. So I thought I'd mention it. I'm sure your wallet will thank me.
Meanwhile, my credit card just got dinged for some other jewels. And from the dollar amounts, I'm surmising the Lionel 18" heavyweight Chessie passenger cars are arriving in stores. I only pre-ordered the StationSounds diner to go along with an existing set of MTH 18" cars behind Lionel's recent Chessie Greenbrier #612. Additionally, it's looking like the remaining John Deere freight cars might have arrived as well. I'm sure there's LOTS more based on Ryan's comments, but that should be a wrap of 2023 pre-orders for me (thankfully). A couple of other goodies from 2023 Volume 2 — including the North Pole Central F-19 Steamer — are due in 2024. But that's gonna come out of next year's budget (again, VERY thankfully).
Eventually Lionel will get around to shipping the Berks based on K-Line tooling, but not this year. And that’s a story for another day. I’m not holding my breath on that one though.
All that said, it seems Lionel is more than determined to help dealers have a banner Christmas Season by shipping so much product in November and December!!!

What are YOU waiting for yet in 2023? Because you might wanna polish off that credit card. LOL!!!
