Tonight while browsing through a Google search, I came across a video of my layout that I produced almost SIX YEARS AGO. I guess time flies when we're having fun... or perhaps I should say even when we're NOT having fun. This video pre-dated COVID and the subsequent years that followed.
And since we're all in need of some early Christmas spirit these days given the crazy state our world is in right now, I thought I'd share this video that I created a couple of months after my Dunham Studio layout was installed the week before Christmas in December 2017. Oh what a different world we had back then.
This hi-def video runs about 12 minutes in length... so feel free to enlarge it to full-screen... sit back, relax... and enjoy some relaxing toy train time while you close out your work-week.
The OGF forum has grown significantly over the years. So this might be the first time some of you are seeing the Allegheny & Pacific Railway... a blend of scale model railroading inside a whimsical toy train world.

Hmmm... that's strange... the video window shows up when I created the original post, but I'm not seeing it when I view the thread. Must be a technical glitch on the forum. So here's a direct link to the video...

What a great video, I truly enjoyed the video. Love the California Z passenger cars. (Sorry the spell check could not come up with correct spelling) The Burlington SD70ace is one of the best fantasy schemes that Lionel have made. Thank you for posting the video, very well done.

Awesome! I’m going to get some snacks, sit in my reclining sofa and stream the video to my tv.
Can we see an update video at some point? Please?

That was a great video! Your layout is fantastic! I like the sound car, I have a PRR sound car, but it stopped working some time ago.

Watched the video again and endured the tease of seeing the MTH CP Holiday Train that I never bought ‘cause I stayed on the fence too firmly and for too long! A beautiful video and layout too!
Hey David! How about a video of your Lionel Penn Central passenger train rolling through the bridge and the mountains?!! I haven’t unboxed mine yet! (I don’t have a hunting knife!)

… Hey David! How about a video of your Lionel Penn Central passenger train rolling through the bridge and the mountains?!! I haven’t unboxed mine yet! (I don’t have a hunting knife!) Brian, ask and ye shall receive. Here’s another 2018 video featuring that Penn Central passenger set headed up by twin GG-1’s… a Vision Line PC GG-1 along with the JLC Black Jack PC GG-1. They worked together like a charm. And that mix of different color PC passenger cars never looked so good at night. Enjoy!!! vimeo.com/262777663/ccc6f55184

Nice!! Love the video, David!
I finally commandeered the tv from my wife watching Hallmark Christmas movies to watch it and listen in surround sound.
There’s nothing more beautiful than double headed GG1’s!! The Penn Central passenger set with the multiple paint schemes is a nice prototypical touch. Like you did I bought the Lionel PRR two car set to add to the PC set. I need to crack open this set!
That was the best look I’ve had of the skeleton log cars in action. They look nicer than I thought, I’ll have to find a few to add to my homemade log train. I cut up some fallen branches from a storm to put on some Menards flat cars to run behind my three truck Shay. Your double headed Heislers look great with all that action!
Thanks for sharing!
