I have been thinking about getting one of these Big Boys for a while. It would be great to have one, sure is a Master Piece. Even though I do have 072 curves I decided it would be too big for my layout(and yes it is a big chunk of dough). It would be great if members who bought them can post videos of them.
If I bought one I would rather have 084 curves. I don't like running trains on min. curves. (I don't have any 072 min curve trains)

I don't have a Big Boy but do have a B&O EM1, and it just didn't look right on anything less than O72, I have run it on O56. I liked it even more so on O81. It says min O72 but using Ross switches and Gargraves track I did O56 by accident one day as I accidently put O56 in a curve by mistake. That's what you get when doing 3 loops at the same time.

Congrats, It is a BEAST.
I could probably run one if I moved stuff around, but, would't do layout or loco justice. So no BB for me.
Best of luck with yours. Enjoy

I just received it today and I must say it was well worth the wait….. Congratulations on receiving your new treasure! The Big Boy can be a centerpiece of a layout all by itself. I love mine, they are my favorite locomotive.
Oh heck, all my engines are my favorites!!!
