October 7, 2023: Heading upstairs to make all the final electric connections both track wise and appearance (Woodland Scenics and MTH). If all goes well, its testing for derailment and/or dead spots and then some photos. After that the long slow process of detailing begins. We have a cold front moving thru at the moment, so cloudy, rain and then clearing and cold. Perfect train day for me, then of course a nap.

October 7, 2023: I did not get as far as I would have liked for photos yet. Had to fix a troublesome stretch of track and supports that were of course on the hardest to reach part of the layout. If stretching is good for arthritis, I stretched like a madman tying reach that area. Now today, after my nap I will complete the track there and close that part of the dog bone track plan. Harry Hieke's GCT base and Lionels small GCT is the center piece.

Vince, good to hear of your recent progress. I am looking forward to the updates. I am sure that you are glad to get rid of the fan in the doorway on the second floor. Like you, I am glad for the cooler weather - there is now less danger of heat prostration in my attic as I work on my layout. Alfred
