There has been some banter this week about where to acquire the best metal figures. I placed another order today.
I highly recommend Metal Figures in West Virginia (304)737-2513. I have deal with them for over 22 years. I must have at least 600-700 on their figures on my layouts. They have it all, men. women service members, bands, skaters, and circus figures. They have volume pricing, but the average is around $ 5.00 per figure.
If you need figures. don't waste your time, go to Metal Figures. They make a huge difference on your layouts.

mpoac, that link you provided is interesting. Not that it matters but a lot of the figures appear to be metal copies of Plasticville and K-Line figures. For example There are also poses which mirror other plastic figures whose manufacturer I don't remember.

"Metal Figures in West Virginia... is this their website ?"
No, their website is not working. Call them, it is well worth it. Write to me as well. I have so much of their product I am like a catalog.

Not that it matters but I think that we may be talking at cross-purposes here. The link given above goes to a website for a business called Metal Figures which has the exact phone number Brian has posted and is located in West Virginia. I think that I have come across this supplier before. The website says that their (standing) figures average about 1.5" tall or 6' in O Scale. Actually that's too tall for 3rail O scale passenger car interiors (which are actually nearer S scale in dimensions) but fine for platforms and other more spacious scenes. OTOH they would be shorter than the Lemax figures a different forum member was trying to match.
I don't really see the resemblance with K-Line figures as opposed to Plasticville and in any case on the website there are hundreds of different figures to choose from. But there might be an element of copying figures made by Preiser because I think I have seen certain of the circus figures that I think were originally made by them. The Chinese copy these products all the time to sell via eBay but the quality in terms of detail and painted finish is inferior.

harborbelt70 - the numbers I have listed under the K-Line and Plasticville figures are the catalog numbers for the figures on that website and the poses match. Again, it's not an issue. I've seen offerings of metal copies of the K-Line and Plasticville figures by other sellers in the past. Knowing how much effort is involved in making a new pose (as I noted in my post on plastic surgery and paint shop further down on the current main page) I can understand why there are various and sundry offerings of copies of the earlier plastic figures and a lack of new and different poses.

Just making an observation, not a criticism. I used to buy some tinplate-style figures from a vendor at York...maybe it was this outfit.
