I am curious who has started working on or planning their Christmas train garden for this year? I know it seems early to be thinking about Christmas especially since some of us are doing Halloween gardens but time is flying and these things take time. I am just finishing my Halloween garden and will be posting the main YouTube video soon but I have been thinking about Christmas already.

Ed, Mine does not go up until the Christmas tree is up at the start of advent. I do a relatively simple Christmas Village on a 4' x 4' platform under the tree. I use O27 track in a loop and run a small consist headed by a Lionel Scout engine (my permanent layout is O31 with some 072 in the attic.) Alfred

My layout is a Christmas themed layout with dept56 buildings and scale trains. It is up all year round.

Not yet for me. I usually start around Thanksgiving. I need to get into the Christmas mood.

I need to get into the Christmas mood. Totally agree with that sentiment. Likely won't start anything until the week after Thanksgiving.

Actually have done two Christmas themed layout displays this year. One is done and the other almost. They are both scenic-ed to the hilt. I learned a great deal from this builds that I hope to share with our members.
Photos soon.

Not yet for me. I usually start around Thanksgiving. I need to get into the Christmas mood. In years past I try to have mine done for Thanksgiving because the day after Christmas mode hits full swing. This year might be a little bit later. We'll see how it goes.

Working on updating the wiring to the Christmas layout to make it easier to set up. Also have a couple of buildings I'll be printing for this year. And then I have some people figurines I'll be painting, including a Homer Simpson for the Lionel nuke plant.

Geesh, all this talk has me rethinking initial plans for this year. The real challenge - I'm gonna need to get the office/study/library cleaned up first.

Kind of, as soon as this layout is finished this week I am going to make it seasonal. Autumn, Spring, Summer Fall and all the appropriate holidays represented somehow
