One thing was the re-arranging for about 2 weeks was how to set up my uptown section and best placement of each structure. Then checking each structures lighting making sure all lights lit, had to work on 3.
What is taking time up is the RR signals since some are track powered and some because of voltage need separate voltage so having to make up resistors to drop voltage, (I knew I should have kept the ones from my last layout, but threw them out). So those are the 2 gremlins in getting up and running sooner, (I hope I'm done with structures as I now have them set up?).
I do have one more corner though I haven't settled on what to do with.

Building a layout never goes as planned at least for me. There is always times I move something and then after a while I don't like it. So the little project I started turns into a multi week project. So don't feel bad Walt on the amount of time it takes to do anything. Also being older does not help. I'm planning on a project next year that will add at least another dozen dept56 buildings. If you can't add more space the only place to add is up.I know what I want to do but next year I will try to do it.

Walt, as long as you are making progress, even if it is slow progress, you are going in the right direction. Checking lights in your buildings before installing them was a very good idea. I'm looking forward to seeing this layout come to life.
