I went to the eye doctor today for my diabetic retinopathy exam. My eyes show no sign of diabetic damage. I wish I could say the same for my feet. He put a lot of drops in my eyes to dilate my pupils. Everything was pretty bright and now everything is still is still blurred.

I gotta get a baseline eye exam soon as well, having gotten the Type II diagnosis a few months back. Been healthy as a horse my whole life, but now suddenly things are going to Hades. The doc says it's likely the result of a Covid infection back in the summer of 2022...apparently DB is increasingly seen in "long-Covid" effects.
Just something to be aware of.

I was diabetic long before covid invaded our lives.

Denny, when the eye doctor dilates my pupils they slowly get better as the day goes by but it takes a day for them to completely return to normal.

There are some drops (an anecdote of you will) that apparently can help reverse the dilation faster. They tried it on me and it didn’t really help. Also some eye doctors have another camera technology they can use to get images of the back of the eye without the need to dilate. My doctor does that but it costs extra.

Denny, things should return to normal soon. By the way, did he tell you about not operating trains for at least 24 hours after receiving the eye drops? Alfred

I also have the same problem (along with many others)

Eye doctors I have gone to in the past always used the camera technology you referred to. I never had my pupils dilated until a couple of years ago. In fact the assistant was getting a little huffy with me when I started asking questions. Maybe she assumed I had previously experienced dilation, which I had not.

WOW, this has a lot to do with trains. Maybe he can't see his train layout.
