In trying to buy some die cast vehicles to populate the less conspicuous parts of my small town, I was unable to complete my purchase because Menards kept wanting me to verify my address (which they generated) and the quantities of each item purchased. I saw no obvious way to do that except to start over again and again before surrendering and leaving their site.
Nothing I did worked and is the case these days, the only way to contact customer service is via email.
Has anyone else run into this problem trying to complete a purchase?

I've not run into this but then again I haven't bought anything from Menards in a while.
One thing that used to always trip me up is that you need to select "Ship to Home" for each item.

(sometimes it's not on the shelf) Unfortunately there is no Menards anywhere close to the Balt/Wash corridor, so a visit to the store would require hours of driving and a packed lunch! It is a shame that so much of our business and personal lives are dependent upon technology which often does not perform very well. But it is just playthings and not organ transplants, so a healthy perspective must prevail!

The internet gods were done messing with me and permitted the purchase to go through this time. I don't recall working this hard to spend money!

I found that out at a York train show when I see people selling $19 cars for &60.

Agreed I never heard of them either. However for whatever reason someone in authority likes O scale trains. As has been said by others, they don't need to make a profit from trains as they have other revenue sources unlike Lionel/MTH/Atlas and others. Their offerings provide value at the entry level of the hobby and good for them. In addition some of their offerings are brilliant, such as the M&M Spaceship and the Bowling Alley. If I lived near a Menards I would be a regular customer.

Do live in CA? They won't ship They do now for a majority of what they sell. They've now included the California Proposition 65 labeling which "requires businesses to provide warnings to Californians about significant exposures to chemicals that cause cancer, birth defects or other reproductive harm. Exposure to these chemicals may take place when products are acquired or used. Exposure may also occur in homes, workplaces, or other environments in California. By requiring that this information be provided, Proposition 65 enables Californians to make informed decisions about their exposures to these chemicals." Proposition 65 became law in November 1986, when California voters approved it by a 63-37 percent margin. The official name of Proposition 65 is the Safe Drinking Water and Toxic Enforcement Act of 1986.
But they haven't included it in everything. I've been able to acquire some buildings I wasn't able to before but I was still restricted from purchasing something as simple as the multi plug power cords and a couple of vehicles.

I have Apple computers and a IPad. I’ve found some sites do not work well with Apple and sometimes I simply call the vender to place the order.

Got a great surprise today. My sister is visiting from Missouri and brought two buildings with her. Jack's Hobby Shop and Tractor Repair Hut. Funny thing is she purchased the Smoking Engine restaurant a while ago but now she can't find it so she bought these two. All for me putting her up for a few days. I may have to open as a hotel and charge people Menard's Buildings. LOL
